Realistic preparations for US Isis attack

Fri 22 Aug, 2014 01:44 pm
Republican talking heads accuse Obama of not doing enough in both Syria and Iraq, but fail to consider what can or cannot be done under present conditions, and don't seem to care about the consequences if things go wrong.

The problem is the enemy keeps moving, doesn't present clear targets, can't be identified because they don't have uniforms, and there is no way to tell if women and children are with them.

@Rickoshay75,
So, how would you prevent ISIS from striking in a US city?

Stop blindly supporting Israel? Close Gitmo? Stop lying?

Yeah...ISIS appears to be a very rational group who undoubtedly would react reasonably and generously to moves of that sort.

So, no actual security measures. No attacks on ISIS. Just antagonize them less as the totality of our protective measures, right? By the way, what were we lying about again, in stark contrast to ISIS's unimpeachable record of honesty?

Our support for Israel is not blind. We freely support them because they are fellow good guys, and are our friend and ally.

It is much like our support for the UK.

The Islamic attacks against us predated the POW camp at Guantanamo.

Also, our right to have POW camps is enshrined in international law. If someone chooses to attack us because we have a POW camp, then the solution is to hit them with a DroneStrike.

@oralloy,
What's this "we" sh*t, have you got a f*cking mouse in your pocket? Not all Americans blindly support the Zionists who dishonestly claim to speak for all of Israel. I get tired of your propaganda and you lying polemic.

As my views on this matter are shared by most Americans, the use of the word "we" is appropriate.

Our support is anything but blind. We recognize that they are our friends, our allies, and are fellow good guys.

We support them proudly, with eyes wide open.

@oralloy,
You have no basis for your claim that your views are shared by most Americans, although it would not surprise to learn that that many Americans were racist pukes who support Zionist murderers.

Friends? Fellow good guys? Ah-hahahahahahahahaha . . .

Mossad has been caught suborning American servicemen to spy on the United States. Israel bought Centurion and Chieftain tanks from Great Britain, ripped off the designs and began manufacturing their own without paying a penny in royalties. Israel bought Mirage jets from France, ripped off the design and began manufacturing their own, without paying a penny in royalties. After the Gulf War, Israel ripped off the Patriot missile design, and didn't pay a penny to Raytheon. The Zionists have no friends--just patsies, and stooges like you.

It is unlikely that the portion of Zionists who commit murder is higher than the portion that are murderers in any other population.

Support for Zionism hardly amounts to racism.

Zionists control and always have controlled the government of Israel. Your refusal to acknowledge that, and their criminal activities doesn't alter the fact.

I'm not refusing to acknowledge it. But it seems like such a basic truth that there seems little point in acknowledging it -- like stopping to acknowledge the law of gravity, or that the sun rises in the east.

A portion of any population will commit crimes. The population of Zionists is no different (and no worse) than any other population in this regard.

@oralloy,
Maybe, except for the holocaust. The Zionists comes in an easy second place.
In the 21st century, the Zionists probably comes close to being number one in killing their own countrymen - under the auspices of the US.

Continue our divisive arguments
Until they escalate to violence
And anarchy
Eventually, only two of us will be left, hiding in an ice cave on Mt Rainier.
Then ISIS can move in without further loss of US lives.

The preparations we've had since 9/11: the surveillance of Muslims, Middle Eastern and Central Asian people in the US, their abductions if suspect, torture, etc.

That has got to be one of the most naive fearmongering questions I've heard in a while. I'm not saying that ISIS is a politically stable and rational organization but they can't be that stupid. An attack against any US city would be an immediate declaration of war and the return of several hundred thousand troops to Iraq. You have absolutely no basis for that question, regardless on whether or not you're proIsarel, proUS airstrikes, proNY Yankees, etc....

Personally, I think we need to help dispatch ISIS from the planet but not for reasons you're implying here.
