During The American Revolutionary War, the state religion of Great Britain was Christianity?

@Setanta,
You lack common sense in science.

Most of your knowledge is antique so here and there you fall into a ditch of fatuousness.

@oristarA,
You're an embarrassment to primates in general.

Still no evidence forthcoming.

You two (does WH want to join the fatuous duo?), one dotard one coward, better behave and don't reduce yourself into skunks.

Jefferson's a genius and you two dumbbells. Better think my abstraction twice before expecting to read my explanation on Jefferson's impact.

How can anyone write something like this and still have the gall to criticise Walter's English?

His English is significantly better than yours.

No.

Either you are an embarrassment to..... or you shame..... Nobody ever writes you are a shame.

Entirely apposite:

The Sea of Faith
Was once, too, at the full, and round earth's shore
Lay like the folds of a bright girdle furled.
But now I only hear
Its melancholy, long, withdrawing roar,
Retreating, to the breath
Of the night wind, down the vast edges drear
And naked shingles of the world.

Not only your English sucks, Izzy, but you're a liar as well:

shame:
1.2 [count noun] A person, action, or situation that brings a loss of respect or honour:
‘ignorance of Latin would be a disgrace and a shame to any public man’
(Oxford Dictionary).

I have been reading Hawking and Dawkins and taken them as examples of good English.

An elegant poem.

Sam Harris' The End of Faith was written like a poem in the same vein.

@oristarA,
You really are a moron, I point out what's wrong with your sentences, but you'd prefer to talk like some 1930's stereotype.

You deserve all you get.

A lot of people using the internet have English skills that are even worse than yours. (That is quite hard to swallow.) So all the results prove is that there are a lot of idiots out there with lousy language skills, which we knew already.

Hugo Chavez was not a native English speaker.

There is no point talking to you. I get it, you've got **** for brains, you want to make moronic statements with nothing to back them up and insult anyone who disagrees with you.

You and your fractured English are going back on ignore. I've got far better things to do than waste time arguing with a moron.

@izzythepush,
Izzy, the fact that you are an imbecile is too obvious to be neglected.

You said "Nobody ever writes you are a shame."

I offered the evidence that about 5 million people write this way! Very Happy

Isn't you who always cries "nobody agrees with him, nobody"? Are 5 million people "nobody"? Is a president of a country nobody? And you are somebody in your standard? Mr. Green

So remember, you should say "no native English speaker ever writes you are a shame." That way would help you get rid of the embarrassment now you suffer.

Your English sucks in comparison to that of Hawking and Dawkins. There is no way I will take your petty English as any example.

If David hasn't offered the evidence that he's still respected when I disagreed with him, you're understandable in saying something like this.

Now you shut your eyes against the truth, which could only have proven that you are an imbecile.

No. I disagreed with her a few months ago,
qua the Constitutional legitimacy of the withdrawal
from the Union by the Southern States.
.......
Oristar disagreed with my position, but no rancor,
just intellectual debate.

There seem to be some secondary areas of conflict. But I still wonder what a "state religion" is. And how Jefferson ...

Never mind. I rely more on books.

Farewell, Izzy, you imbecile!

Hope you will NEVER come back to waste my time with the **** that fills your brain.

You've ever eaten your word once. This time you must resist temptation and keep away this thread:

Quote:
A state religion (also called an established religion, state church, established church, or official religion) is a religious body or creed officially endorsed by the state. A state with an official religion, while not secular, is not necessarily a theocracy.
