Who played Bart Maverick on the series "Maverick?"

That was Jack Kelly (who alternated episodes with his brother Bret Maverick, James Garner)

I know a couple of guys who were born at the time Maverick was a hit. Their names are Brette and Bart.

I remember Durwood Kirby from Candid Camera too.

But what program featured the Kurwood Derby?

You are correct, of course. His co-star was an unsuccessful magician, who never did manage to pull a rabbit out of a hat.

Nope- Richard Chamberlain was never married.

Hint: Whenever I talk about an old fashioned doctor, who is very caring and involved with his patients, I will say, "That guy is a real __________" (the name of the senior partner, and the name of the show)

I come up with Kildare and the Dr played by Robert Young, but still draw a blank.

Dang. I knew that one, but got on too late. (The show was Marcus Welby, M. D.)

James Brolin received one of my favorite ever reviews for his portrayal of Clark Gable. The reviewer (whose name I do not recall) said that Brolin had studied for the part at the Hollywood Wax Museum.

Bonus points: what other actress was James Brolin married to, and what was her most famous role in television?
