My Mom would have guessed that one in an instant.
Hmm. Would you like another hint?
I added this to the original clue:
(Actually, Littljohn is a nickname.)
I think one reason this one is tough for me, the show began the year I left home and went in the Navy. I didn't watch a lot of television after that until about 1970.
Probably one of those shows similar to Hawaiian Eye.
Ahh! Well maybe you can guess it by the hints.
New Hint:
Well it's a coincidence you were in the Navy (62-67)! This show is about a different branch of the service and a different war.
(Next time I'll try to reach back in time even more!)
Not BaBa Black Sheep. (I think that was the Seventies)
This took place in France.
Eww. Poor Vic Morrow, died, portraying a Vietnam Era soldier....
I remember. He deserved a better fate.
Clue (radio): A tale well calculated to keep you in --------
Sounds like radio.
Was there a show called "Suspense Theater"?
Close enough. It was "Suspense." I don't recall the announcer's name, but episodes starrred people as varied as Edward G. Robinson, Agness Moorehead and Ozzie Nelson.
Singers, Julius LaRosa and Carmel Quinn were regulars on this TV variety show: "________ _________ and His Friends".
Yep! (Didn't he fire Julius La Rosa for something?)
Edgar Blythe
Mr. Peevee!!!! Edgar, just how old are you anyway?
Yeah. Julius was either too arrogant or flashy - something- Godfrey fired him.
Here is a theme song (tv show):
_______, _______,
Where will you be camping tonight?
_______, lonely man,
Will your heart stay free and light?
