Not Glen Campbell, but it was a music variety show. You either hated it or loved it. Personally I found it painful to watch.

It wasn't the Andy Williams debacle was it?

'What a revoltin' development this is!
Rosie the Riveter?

No...

You mean Chester A. Riley. William Bendix played him for most part, but surprisingly Jackie Gleason played him earlier.

OMG, did you know that the actress that played the niece Penny on "Sky King?" TV show, Gloria Winters, was playing Chester's daughter, Babs?

I didn't know, but I think there were more "crossover" players in those days.

Yeah...a few of the reg characters from Adventures of Superman, too, such as Sterling Holloway (froggy almost falsetto voice..absent-minded professor Uncle Oscar). Many will remember his legendary voice in Disney movies (voice of Winnie the Pooh) and the voice of the Cheshire Cat in Alice.

Well, we're both right. Glen Campbell was a summer show replacement for 1968 and later became a show in its own right.
Hee Haw was the summer show replacement for 1969. Smothers Brothers were renewed for the 1969-1970 season but the network changed their mind and they were not on after the 1969 season.

What does anyone know about an old TV show called "26 Men"? Apparently it was a western. I thought I'd heard of 'em all.

Reading the credits for The Adams Family, I was surprised to see who got named as Thing. Anybody else know who played Thing?

The actor who also played Lurch, Ted Cassidy, played Thing. I know of no one else who has been credited.

The Adams Fam theme:
I never saw West Side Story, until after The Adams Family folded. When the students began snapping their fingers, it rang a bell. Then I saw John Astin on the screen (The principal, I think) and have always thught since then that the play inspired the theme. Right or not, I don't know.
