If I hadn't just read the ad, I wouldn't have believed it either.
My prized doo-dad from those days is a Hopalong Cassidy thing for holdin a kerchief or whatever it was about the neck. Shaped like a bull's skull.
I have several episodes at home of Tom Corbett Space Cadet, and it's frustrating because he ends each show with a secret code, decipherable only with the special boxtop decoder ring, and I have no idea what the messages say. Undoubtedly stupid little sayings like, "Eat Wheaties", or "Watch next week" or "Obey your Mom and Dad".
Nick Alexander, a crusading reporter in New York. 1962 - 1963. Star and title, please.
I will post a new clue each day if necessary.
Nick Alexander was played by Nick Adams.
Other cast members, John Larkin and Barbara Rush.
I remember Nick Adams as Johnny Yuma in "The Rebel", but that's all I can dredge up for now.
Pondering...
Nick Adams was one of my favorites.
Sadly, Nick committed suicide in the sixties because he could never recapture the success he had in "The Rebel". Legend had it he was wearing his Johnny Yuma costume when he died.
I saw him in a very bad Japanese monster movie called "Frankenstein Conquers the World", that must have been made shortly before his death. Sad. He was better than that.
I guess "Saints and Sinners" was a bit too obsure a question for any but the diehard fan. That was the show.
I've just thought of a show I had forgotten about for perhaps 40 years. It was a tv series that starred, among others, Noah Beery, Jr., Billy Barty and Mickey Braddock as Corky, the central character. I had to look up Braddock, as I had totally forgotten his name.
You got it on the first try, Raggedy.
Here's a TV series I really enjoyed:
It was about a man of few words who rarely showed any emotion, but he
was an expert with a weapon that was a cross between a handgun and a rifle. His "Mare's Leg" was a .30-.40 sawed-off carbine.
"Wanted Dead of Alive"
starring Steve McQueen
You got it, Brandon. Wanted Dead or Alive is correct.
Re: Circus Boy. Mickey Braddock grew up to be Mickey Dolenz, drummer of the MONKEES.
