Any Decent Republicans Out There?

Reply Mon 23 Sep, 2013 03:06 am
Have you called for the impeachment and indictment of G.W Bush, Cheney and their administration for war crimes, for launching an illegal war using false evidence?.
An illegal war which has led to the death of over 1 million Iraqis.
We wont even mention torture... oops.

Now admittedly it might not seem as serious as lying about a blow job, but have you, Mr & Mrs Republican called for the impeachment and indictment of the G.W Bush administration?.

YES..... good for you, there's hope for Republicans yet.

NO...... you're not very decent so.

I have a sneaking feeling the No's far outweigh the Yes's.

@eurocelticyankee,
See the rising theory (Established by mediacl research), that GOP right wingers (not an oxymoron but an increasing statistical population) have very enlarged AMYGDALAs, wherein, as we all know from reading Stephen King, the amygdala is the center of the cortex wherein resides FEAR and LOATHING at things potentially threatening and different.

Resaerch is now being undertaken to establish the "What came first, the big amygdala that needs fear as food or the fear, which , in turn, grows the big amygdala)

I want to make GOPs hate and loathe their own brains. Research has also shown that liberals have a much higher eveloped sense of irony and humar than conservatives (yet conservative talk radio tries to mount th humor high ground by assertion that they(conservatives) are loving and happy.

I don't know if that helps but I didn't know where else to put it

@Finn dAbuzz,
Is being an arrogant overbearing asshole all part of the Republican ethos?, or is it just you?.

@eurocelticyankee,
U appear to be mentally disturbed; that Administration
has been out of office (un-impeachable) for years!

FOR THE RECORD:
I voted for W,
and I support his military actions,
tho he waited too long to begin the war against Saddam.

If it were Constitutionally possible,
then I 'd support substituting Cheney or W for obama now.

@OmSigDAVID,
David the fact you think I must be mentally disturbed cheers me up no end.
I must be doing something right.

For those of us who want to see justice, who want to see the same criteria applied to the US as it applies elsewhere, there's always the Hague and that's where Bush, Cheney & co should be.

So he waited to long, you say.
Explain that to the hundreds of thousands slaughtered and maimed, what am saying?, you couldn't give a toss about that could you, all you care about are guns.

Maybe something.

That 'd involve violating American sovereignty.
We have the military power to stop that from happening;
maybe nuke the Hague, if it got troublesome as u described.

No. I did not say that.
I said that he waited TOO long. That spelling means something different.

No; too much trouble.
I 'm a lot more comfortable just enjoying the un-demandingness of Florida.
I need not be anywhere nor do anything, except go to the airport
to go to conventions, occasionally.

I care about other things in addition to guns, e.g. fine dining.

Sad.
To me David, you and your ilk are the true evil of this world.
I don't see much difference between you & Saddam, both arrogant & uncaring.
I'd say put you in Saddams position and you probably would have been worse than he was.
I'm not religious but sometimes I wish it were true, that there would be a reckoning of sorts for callous, selfish people like yourself.

I'd also like to think that not all Republicans are like you.

Sad. I thawt u said that u were HAPPY!?! Liberal deception??

To me David, you and your ilk are the true evil of this world.
Yes; we are at war.
I fight for personal freedom, Individualism, hedonism and selfishness.

U fight for the opposites thereof, as did Stalin & Hitler.

The G.O.P. is supposed to stand for Original Americanism
and to stand against liberal distortions thereof.

After the US stopped Iraq's invasion of Kuwait, Iraq signed a treaty promising, among other things, to give UN inspectors unfettered access to look for WMD or WMD programs. For 12 years after that, Iraq failed to allow the inspectors free access. The UN passed numerous resolutions finding Iraq in material breach of its treaty obligations. After numerous warnings, the US invaded to determine whether Iraq had taken its former WMD programs underground, rather than disbanding them. Although some individual pieces of evidence given to US intelligence turned out to be false, many world leaders believed that Iraq had concealed, rather than disbanded, its former WMD programs. Had Saddam Hussein obtained nuclear or biological weapons, the consequences would have been dire for the world. He was a very evil, brutal dictator who had already used chemical weapons on his own people and attempted to invade his neighbors. At the very least, even had he not actually used such weapons, he could have used the threat of their use to force his neighbors to comply with his wishes. If he had such research programs, he had to be stopped before they reached fruition. It ultimately turned out that he didn't have them, but we know that only because we invaded. US actions were completely appropriate. And if you want to quote casualty figures, please report only the people actually killed by US forces. Had Iraq come to possess nuclear bombs and used just one, hundreds of thousands of people could have died immediately.

@Brandon9000,
Sorry Brandon, I'm in a bit of a hurry here.

You'll get no argument from me about the evils of Saddam & his regime. Monsters.
Who unfortunately we the West (the US really) armed to the teeth and gave carte blanche to do as he pleased, including using chemical weapons, so long as he was was fighting a proxy war against Iran for us.

Have to go mate, have a good day.

@Finn dAbuzz,
What kind of a person gives such short shrift to actions that have caused the deaths of untold numbers of innocents, Finn? What kind of person makes excuses, even exceedingly lame ones for war criminals, terrorists, thieves, torturers, evil folk all who see no problem in killing little children, in smothering them with WMDs.

By the indicated criteria,
thay 'd be Republicans In Name Only (R.I.N.O.s), not Originalist Americans supporting Constitutional liberty.

What wud be the point of voting for a R.I.N.O.??
If u oppose the freedom of Original Americanism, then Y not just vote for the Democrats ?
