Well... do you want the good news first or the bad news... ?

The bad news? He died.

But the GOOD NEWS is that he made a miraculous return (in a slightly different guise) - and is now an honoured celebrity guest at a veterinary clinic whose location must remain a secret to protect the innocent.

I believe the veterinary nurses are making him a small black cowboy hat to wear - with little slots for the ears.

Pierre de la cuisine, ou es-tu?

Gone to Prague for 18 months!

I've been here since January and it's cold but interesting and (generally) fun.

No, not that question, DUH! The one before it.

And I've got a peeve today.

I hate to hear people on the radio (and elsewhere) pronouncing the word vulnerable like VUNNRABLE.

I hate that. Yech.

Long time since I've been on this thread and the acronym piece made me think of one of my favourites:

BOBFOC

for those of you who understand cockney "dodgy boat" might help you work out its meaning!

I like it. Or

"Face like a bag of spanners"

"Face like a bulldog chewing a wasp"

I know these women.

athletic

When pronouncing "athletic", I've noticed that some give it four sylables: "ath-e-let-ic", instead of its proper three: "ath-let-ic".

(Note: I hope you don't think I'm following you, McTag. It's just a coincidence that we posted here at the same time. Smile )

We'd never think such a thing, PS!

"Face like a robber's dog" is a favourite of one of my friends.

PostSeducteress-

I hope you are not going to have your little head spun off your shoulders by this base physical flattery when it is your refined mind which is deserving of the appreciation of a fellow intellectual who has transcended such grubby and animalistic considerations. That would be really common.

Steve, my avatar is actually wearing a long dress, but it's pulled down a little on the top, and pulled up in the back. For artistic symmetry, of course...
