@neologist,
It's not that you 'listened.' It's that you were brainwashed like the majority to believe in one god. I consider that one of the natural phenomenons of human life; the need to seek and find some director of your life.

It's not necessary to reinvent the bible; that's been done by people like you who make new translations to meet your own needs. It's really funny to watch, because you make it so obvious!

I don't need the crutch of any god or gods. It's been proven through research at Stanford and Yale universities that third party prayer does not work.

I know my life is what it is from the time I'm born, what I perceive to be my life experiences, and when I die. That's the totality of all life on earth. It's really a simple concept that not many humans are willing to accept. Most need an omnipotent, invisible, god to direct their lives.

That's life!

I sure hope not. Nah, he's fairly sane.

Funny, I've never heard of animals hanging in gay bars or going on gay pride marches..Smile

That's because your brain is stuck in neutral, and don't understand nature.

Only yesterday the Pope and the Israeli PM agreed to pray for each other.

I should think not. It levels us with the worms, the dandelions and the plankton.

We are the "worms" of this world. We reek out more destruction than any other living species on this planet.

There are plenty of other opportunities; spending billions on warfare is not the right one.

Gays are trying to blame bonobo chimps for spreading AIDS but I don't buy that, I mean since when have bonobo chimps been members of gay clubs?

How do you know that? Suppose the billions had not been spent on military adventures. You can only guess at what would be happening had it not been done. And if you did it would be taken with ladles full of sugar.

You can't really call it war. War is creative. War created the Union. War created the Euro project. War creates war. Just as science creates science.

There is such a thing as Destiny. Only simple minds think of sacred mechanical causality. Things just complicated are complex underneath.

The internet is merely complicated. What people do with it is another subject. And a difficult one. Probably irreducibly difficult. Like women.

How long would taxpayers put up with a Bilko military?

@spendius,
Simple logic; money spent for the betterment of all humanity over killing.
Humans and politics is not logical or sensible.

There are many proofs now that supports my opinion. Do your own search and educate yourself - if that's possible.

And now you can't even look after guys whose war was years ago when war was more like war than recently and who survived it but fell in the Vet's hospital.

The Muratorian Fragment was compiled about 170 C.E. It included Revelation. So that would be about 70 years.

The Muratorian Fragment is hardly canonical to your religion and its compilation does not negate the point made that the assertion of a warning against those who would add to the Bible's instruction was made before the Bible's instruction was compiled.

Most of us will approve of that. I'll not list the categories which might not approve, except at cocktails parties and coffee mornings, because it would take too long.

The logic of it demands World Government. The Union of All the States. The one single taxing and spending authority.

I doubt you want that ci. You wouldn't get all those slavering coolies greaseballing your dollars out of you by attending in a dignified manner to your whims. But you would get a good few wars.

What I want is of no consequence. According to many surveys, the happiest people on this planet live in Denmark. Their per capita income is $56,000, and they enjoy universal health care.

Which facts?
