I did...and I responded to what you wrote to Olivier. This may become one of those odd moments where Olivier and I agree on something.

@neologist,
We can still set and follow our own standards, whatever your website says.

Of course.
You have free will.
And, if you believe your standards superior to God's. . . Well. . .

@neologist,
You're going off on another tangent and aren't addressing the contradiction of your assertion.

@InfraBlue,
You have read many of my posts and have yet to discern my contention that a rebellion occured in Genesis, ch. 3. The serpent challenged both the integrity and authority of God. Those accusations have yet to be resolved. Until then, the entity behind the serpent is the power ruling world afffairs. I can cite scriptures if you need them. It might be helpful to check the link in my profile.

Perhaps you would be willing once more to state your concern

Neo...

...some of us feel there might not even be a god.

Some of us feel that even if there is a GOD...the GOD would allow us to set our own standards rather than be a tryrannical oaf telling us what offends it...especially since the god you worship seems to be offended by nonsense.

So, YES, many of us think our standards are superior in all sorts of ways...to the standards your god sets. And we think that for decent reasons.

Interesting slight change of focus here, Neo.

Now it is "the serpent" doing all the bad stuff that all of humanity for all of time has to be punished.

In the beginning, weren't you blaming that all on Adam...or Eve?

@neologist,
The jw does not speak for God. Not anymore than any other denomination.

@Frank Apisa,
Knowing the Bible as well as you do, did you miss the part where Satan is referred to as "the original serpent". Or do you need a citation?

Of course, it was Adam and Eve who joined the orignal serpent in rebellion.

According to the Bible, that is.

Right. That's why we have the Bible.

Either way, Neo. Earlier...you kept talking about the fact that Adam and Eve disobeyed the god. Here you seem to be stressing the rebellion of the serpent.

Just sayin'!
