Anyway, the part that you suggest that guns being the most "effective" way of killing someone is a matter of opinion. My opinion regard to "mass murders" is that there are more effective ways than guns, such as home made bombs

If that were the case, we'd see school bombings, not school shootings.

Tell you what, let's you and I pick three days. During those three days we will try to kill one another. I will use guns, you will be limited to IEDs.

How do you think that would work out?

Okay, so the only example you can give of a bombing is an unsuccessful one. On the other hand, their attacks with guns were quite successful.

Oh I don't know, but if I may suggest, why don't you change your gaze from your own back yard to the eastward direction, and look at the damage it has inflicted on our ground forces.

Anyway, regarding your challenge, you know there is a type of IED called Impact Detonated Devices which detonate after being dropped, thrown, or impacted in some manner. Don't be too cocky, else you won't have any limbs to eat or walk with after the three days.

I referenced two different bombing incidents.
The biggest school attack body count in the US resulted from a dynamite bomb, look it up.

Now, of course, I don't think all guns should be banned. I'm just agreeing with parados that they are the most effective tool for killing people. Personally, I do feel safer walking around at night in my city, knowing the some law-abiding people in my area are carrying, even though I personally don't carry.

@Kolyo,
There was a school bombing, and it was "effective" than any of the mass murders involving guns up to now.
Look up Bath School Disaster. It is the deadliest mass murder in a school in United States history.

@Val Killmore,
But gun-related school killings seem to be more frequent.

@Kolyo,
They are more frequent under Obama's watch, but the historical numbers are down.

A positive benefit of living in right to carry states.

More guns = Less crime and you not only feel safer, you are safer.

We had seen school bombings in fact the record holder for mass murders in a public school in the US is held by a bombing not by firearms.

Using a gun is simpler for a coward. You can keep your distance from your victim.

You're a bit too focused on method instead of motive, the latter of which is the important aspect.

For sure. So why is the motive to kill so high in the US compared to other western democracies?

Good for Obama as no mass foreign murderer of US citizens now can sleep well at night without wondering if his end will come from out of a clear sky without warning at any time.
