Hey . . . let's see if we can just stick to the subject of the thread . . . for once . . .
@Setanta,
I actually wanted to make an excursus, but unfortunately run out of arguments ...
I am very surprised . . . i would not have thought that anyone at able to know would have suffered a dearth of arguments . . .
I digress therefore I am.
I believe the topic is sufficient unto itself, so that no minds will be diverted into unproductive sidelines.
i used to read the Reader's Digress as a child
@Setanta,
eschew obiter dicta help concentration
@djjd62,
I always liked their condensed books . . . but when i added water, it made them hard to read . . .
@Setanta,
Next time, try the freeze-dried edition ...
@Walter Hinteler,
So....what're we talking about?
@dlowan,
This and that!~ What else?
Keeping to the point....whatever that is?
@Setanta,
I can't think of a damn' thing I want to say.
@Lustig Andrei,
So what do you think about bidets?
PM me, as responding here would be digressive.
@Mockingclown,
To a little digression: I swear that is the most swear I will ever use in any one thread, seeing this thread is humor and all.

yes - we need a topic not to digress from!
The topic is . . . sheep . . . i guess . . . you can just make up your own topic, and then resolve not to digress from it . . .
@Setanta,
Sheep are fascinating.
Why, for instance, when we talk about separating the sheep from the goats, are the sheep seen as good and the goats bad?
