@roger,
Are you ready for this? If not, you otter be? The best form of communication is knocking people's buck out. Anywhore, squirrel people are more menacing than Harry Otter; I hear you have to be careful cause they go straight for the nuts.

@Setanta,
How'd I miss that zoo when I was in Columbus back in '91 or somewhere around there? You're right. That sounds like typical otter behavior.

@Lustig Andrei,
It's several miles northwest of the city. Why they don't promote it more, i can't say.

Read a great sci-fi short story once. With mankind dying from a disease that it appeared could not be conquered before the apocalypse came, two scientiest were walking down the beach. They see two sea otters playing in the surf, and one of them in an anguished tone wishes they could pass on their knowledge to such an intelligent species. He walks over and writes a complex equation of nuclear physics in the sand, for which the result is unknown. Then they sit down on some rocks. The otters come running out of the surf, and one of them stops where the euqation is written on the sand. He looks at it for a while, wipes out part of it, writes in a different function, then he and his partner run off to play in the surf again. Great story.

Now where were we . . . oh yeah, water rats . . .

I got nasty habits, I take tea at three
Yes, and the meat I eat for dinner
Must be hung up for a week
My best friend, he shoots water rats
And feeds them to his geese
Doncha think there's a place for you
In between the sheets?

Our otters are not conflicted about species . . . no duckbills, no egg laying . . .

@Izzie,
Thanks, Iz

Certainly consumed our share of ice cream, in Florence and Venice. No cornettos, though.
