I don't know what it is like in the U.S. on a more general level, but divorce rates here started dropping here in the late 1980's after a spike in 1987 when the law changed.

Sex was 'never' an analogy for marriage. It's about many other things that can save or destroy a marriage - including sex.

Sex can happen inside or outside of marriage - with a married partner or other(s). It can happen to singles, unmarried, and/or married people - or any combination.

There are millions of reasons why relationships are successful and at least an equal number of millions why they are not.

Concerning same sex marriages, I agree with JoefC. They are all whiney babies who, once they achieve their goals, they'll no longer want them, which has an upside - it will give liberals a chance to help them shed what society has bestowed upon them. The downside - it'll give Finn something else to bitch and moan about.
