@Rockhead,
they are damned fine. Theyve been doing their extra pastural duties today. They get their exercise and the eggs are oaded with beta C. Only trouble is , they are at their peak laying time of life so were getting more easter eggs each day. ALl around us everyone else has chickens so we cant give the damn things away
HAve your chicks come yet or did you get a MAy delivery?
We always keep the young chicks in a water trough with a bright lite on top for warmth. Keep a chicken wire or tighter weave on top so rats cant get in after them when they are under 3 weeks. After that the rats will not mess with em.(Unless you have Allegheny cave rats which are big as dachshunds)
