@roger,
We both noticed she is less enthusiastic re jumping into a car.
I pretty much doubt that fatty thing is the reason, but, it may be time for a meeting with the vet, the head one. I worry more about other matters like dysplasia, but the vet who examined her didn't detect it.

@roger,
Another nose on leg.

This is fine mid day, but can be a problem at 3 a.m., although now it is only 11 pm or so.
Anyway, I've sussed her out as she stands behind me when wanting more food.
But she has had enough.

I admit I just called her little fat.

@ossobuco,
Working up the list -
Katy
Ms. Fabulosa with the Big Tail
Big Woof
I've never actually called her Princessa Caterina, but I like it
SweetiePie (blame Diane, I never ever would have said this before)
Sweets, which I blame on my former business partner, who was raised in Texas, rodeo, etc.
The last two are so not me.
Beautiful (that from me)
Love (that one is me, use that often)
Well, stay tuned.
I heard Roger call her Beautiful.
Little Fat
adds, Mein Schatz
Miss Woof
Luvluvluv
Dog Face (a boyfriend called me JoJo the dogface boy with some affection, others warned me this wasn't nice)

@ossobuco,
Ya forgot Woofums!

I might greet her with a Hi Gorgeous, but mostly will stick with Katy.

@ossobuco,
I am so glad that you have a dog around again, osso, they're such a pleasure to have. Have we seen a picture of her yet?

Be careful, don't let her overeat and get fat, that's not good for dogs - or cats for that matter. We had to put Lilly on a diet too, but she's much more active now and runs much faster than before....

@CalamityJane,
She's eating, I think, way less than she is used to. The head aide type at the vet's said he had a shepherd about her weight (162) and was only giving her x amount, and I follow that, to her dismay. She is already a chub, a walking log, so we are working down from that.

Meantime, she hasn't touched that big faux dog bone. It lies there in the computer room as a sculptural floor piece.

@CalamityJane,
I presently can't transfer from my canon to my mac since I have no IPhoto. (2009 crash)
I have a nikon and one roll of oldish film, but it is money to develop and I live lean. No one in my immediate set of pals has a camera where they can give me a photo that I can scan. Butrfly, but she has her own set of things going on and I don't want to bother her (yet).

Maybe I'll do photos with the old Nikon one day when Roger is here.
Katy's coat changes in different light. She is basically black and tan and white (less so as weeks go by, re the white), but I think I see gold and she has a coat that is a glorious weave. Major golden eyebrows and intricate shoulder cape.

@the prince,
So have I, over my life (none in childhood except visiting people), various constraints later.

I think you need a dog, Prince.

I suppose you are in a no dog building.

@the prince,
I've loved dogs since I was, maybe, four, but didn't have my own until I was about 33. I've avoided, like some of us, owning a dog since I can't reasonably take care of appropriate veterinary needs. This gnaws at some of us pet lovers. Others can't afford dog care helpers.

After Pacco died I was a mess, well annotated on a2k. But I got it, that I can't afford the possibilities put forth for another dog, hurt in the future.. Some of those are things to do are ridiculous, but I took it that I couldn't afford the lower end of all that. So, years have gone by.

Katy has a fund watching me and her, which is pretty ironic in its way, but they like her and possibly me.

o'Prince, you can find help to care for the dog. Surely. I don't know, are you never there? If not, is there someone there that genuinely likes dogs? (I don't care re his work title - do any connect to dogs?

The key is that you bond to the dog.
Katy and I bonded within seconds. Well, yeh, she and a many others.
Another name, Bondo.

@Tai Chi,
I'm working up to buying film. Turns out the film I have is b & w and wouldn't do justice if it did still work. Or it might, since I really like b & w, but I want to show her color. (Maybe I'll practice on it. But then, who would develop it?)
I think I still have appropriate batteries in the freezer, time to get out the old nikon directions. (That's the camera I knocked on the Spanish Steps but still worked.)

Meantime, Door Jam, Love Dog, and Woofums, all the same dog, went to the care home today with Roger and was the star of the show again, or vice versa, as he says she loves everyone.
