@FreeDuck,
Roger is a plum. He is generally quiet at get togethers, while being, perhaps, the most interesting person. You two deserve a private lunch.

@ossobuco,
I believe he must be very good company, as would you. I do hope I get out that way before too much more time passes.

@FreeDuck,
As you know, Roger and I disagree on this and that, and if we were mates would simply have to kill each other. Not a bad basis for a good friendship. Hope you and yours will do a trip, or you by yourself.

@Ragman,
Yep, came here to post that -- while he wasn't really in hiding before (in the sense that authorities knew where he was and he said he was willing to give himself up), he's now getting hidier.

I wondered briefly if he might have killed himself, but evidently he's been talking to Sean Hannity. (Of course, Hannity might be lying about that.)

Sure behaving like someone who's totally convinced of his own innocence.

With total faith that the "justice" system will deliver on its promise of justice.....

@snood,
Angela Corey, the special prosecutor brought in from another county, has announced she'll be having a press conference sometime within the next three days. She'll also share 'new information' pertaining to the case.

I wonder if they gave Zimmerman a heads up about it? Not really sure how these things work.

@sozobe,
Sean Hannity can be subpoenaed and forced to reveal under oath what Zimmerman told him, can't he?

Not if they couldn't find him.

@roger,
I think I read he called them. Said he would be willing to come in and answer questions without an attorney present. They said no...they didn't want to question him without his attorney.

Not if they hurry up and get married and consummate the marriage.

Sean Banality, lying - what are the chances of that?

@FreeDuck,
Here in the UK, it is suggested that burglars may sue/claim compensation home owners:

@Anomie,
I heard about that. One extreme is looking as bad as the other.

I dissent from that.
Killing criminals is very GOOD and laudible,
whereas criminals successfully suing their victims
with the support of law, is evil and liberal.

@OmSigDAVID,
Ah, but what if it is not a criminal, David?

It woud be fun
to see some liberals, who disdain the rights of self defense,
actually be in the position of such victims and then later
getting financially wiped out by the costs of litigation
that resulted from the active defense of themselves or of their loved ones.

Let them find out how it feels toward the end of their working lives
to be financially set back to how thay were when thay graduated from college or high school.

That shud be good for a chuckle.

( This does not imply that I have ever met anyone to whom this has happened; its just theoretical.)

David

But anyone can claim that someone is/isn't a criminal for the purposes of suit and in that case it would HAVE to be adjudicated.

But not for you Dave, you get to just decide that Trayvon was a criminal without any evidence. Dead means he was a criminal according to your warped view of reality.

So today Holder is out saying essentially that if the state does not try to lower the hammer on Zimmerman then the feds will, using an allegation of racial hate.....even though it is pretty clear that Martin is not dead today due to racial hate....and even though hate crime laws should be unconstitutional.

American Justice is in a very sorry state. Emotion and assumptions, not reason/facts/evidence, is what carries the day with us.
