@realjohnboy,
Wow. I really hope you have a quick recovery. I'm glad you're feeling well enough to write, but maybe leave all this election stuff alone for a while. You don't need the stress!!
All the best.

@DrewDad,
I'm not sure how Romney can win without the poor, women, and Hispanics.
What's even crazier is that 38% of women still support Romney.

@cicerone imposter,
Well he is rich and good looking. Maybe they think they might have a shot at him.

@RABEL222,
Probably the majority of those women wouldn't mind being in his harem. Mr. Green

@realjohnboy,
one reason I sold off my ownership in my business was that I had a TIA and it was a bitch for a few weeks of weakness . Ive since reaized that strokes are mostly preventable and are something we can earn to handle like any chronic thing.

Youll be just fine and , with lifestyle changes and certain drug regimen, youll be a better , stronger, and more reaxed you.

@cicerone imposter,
Yes, cyclo, please do continue to contribute to this thread and to the companion one on the general election (The U.S. National Elections For President, The Senate and the House...)
I can read okay but my typing - especially with my right hand - is tedious.

@realjohnboy,
I've not had many dealings with you, but I've always found you serious and fairly amiable. I wish you all the best and hope you get better soon.

@realjohnboy,
Something to cheer you up a bit, rjb --

Newt Gingrich visited the St. Louis zoo on Friday and got bitten by a penguin.

(The penguin is expected to make a full recovery) Smile

And you get well quick, too!!!

@realjohnboy,
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/us/republican_presidential_nomination-1452.html

The Republican Nomination for President is, media reports to the contrary, not wrapped up. Gingrich and Paul are still in the race. Everyone knows they aren't going to win, but they haven't officially given up.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/us/general_election_romney_vs_obama-1171.html

Mitt's approval ratings and numbers v. Obama have firmed up a bit since Santorum has dropped out, and the race seems to be settled.

Though Romney's numbers have gone up, voters still in large part doubt he can beat Obama:

@Cycloptichorn,
When should we expect Romney to name a running mate?

@Cycloptichorn,
Mitt's numbers may have "firmed up," but it's based more on voting Obama out rather than real support for Mitt. Most conservatives are going to be holding their nose as they vote for Mitt. What's really funny is that Mitt is going to really hurt the middle class and the poor, and that includes the majority of conservatives.

Ignorance is bless.

If he follows historical norms, not until the convention, which is in August. So, not for some time yet.
