anybody brave enough to see if he has another one in him?

we're not that bold...

lol... nope!

Verlander, and Halladay will lock that up quickly...

Who has Verlander? They must have been pissed about yesterday? 1 hit, 1 walk thru 8, and ends up being charged with 4 runs, and a loss?? George, you reaped one there! Shields got the win!

Oh, we'd love to have ya (plus we'll have the football group in the fall).

We have a minimal innings pitched requirement, so just having a lot of closers can work if we at least get to 10.0 innings pitched/week.

I am in second right now but God knows how long that'll happen.

PS We trash talk but it tends to be in Latin (ask George). Smile

damn, a San Fran pitcher is actually doing well today! So far! Bumgarner thru 5 or so, no runs...YET! lol just kidding that is my team

I have a baseball card that is a dual auto of Cain and Lincecum...Lincecum's rookie year 2007...serial numbered 1/1 only one like it in the world....

Book value between 2-10 thousand....

When Strasburg came up, and made his debut, Someone sold his rookie auto 1/1...and it went for over 550,000$ dollars...it went so high, the bid increments went up by 5,000 per bid...

BRB..gonna see if I can link the Lincecum card!

I can not post the card...It is on ebay, but has been over 2 years so, they have no record of it...and I do not have a scanner to show the picture...

If you want to see what it resembles...go to ebay and look for 2007 upper deck sweet spot dual auto's

Lincecum's auto is in black, and Cain's is in Gold pen...

Whoever has Garza, he is going for a shutout...he is batting in the bottom of the 8...and is winning 8-0 against the brewers...

3 hits 2 walks 8 k's

Sorry Rock!

Oh man! they pulled him with one out to go! I do not understand that...

@Rockhead,
lol, I agree with Bumgarner...Why do you say that about Strasburg?

I clearly would never waste a first round pick on a pitcher...But why do you call him a squirrel??

@Rockhead,
Don't have much vintage stuff...Because it is hard to find them in great shape...But valuable none the less...I try to get my cards professionally graded...

They were truly the best...I think Mays was probably the best all around player of all time...either him or Ruth, because Ruth was solid pitcher as well...But Mays did everything on the field!

Never did the comic book thing...

@XXSpadeMasterXX,
I'm not a comic guy either, but I recognize dollars when I see them piled up.

50's stuff is very valuable right now...

If I had my childhood card collection now, I could retire. lost it to a bad roommate a coupla decades back.

@Rockhead,
Sux...I got a card from 1933 graded...

Most modern stuff is only valuable if it is an auto or rookie in pristine shape...

@XXSpadeMasterXX,
I bought my last card in about 1980.

before the big craze.

as a kid we traded them out of pop bottle cases and shoeboxes.

I still remember my trading buddies. they are all successful business folks now.

(and sometimes chewed the gum. it was not the best gum, but it was free...)

That is why I personally do not go for the vintage stuff, people put them in their bikes as spokes and such...

But the players back then and before were the best!
