Its UNFORTUNATE that we in A2K persist
in personal quarrels, ad hominem denunciations at great length,
instead of objectively, dispassionately discussing events
or discussing the merits of abstract principles e.g. Individualism v. collectivism, etc.

I am reminded of the very earliest years of my life, soon after
I had mastered the art of walking, when kids of my age
frequently hurled personal insults at one another, for no reason.
"Fatso" and "stupid" were in very popular use. We did not know better, at that age -- not at that age.

Back then, the same, the very same insults were repeatedly alleged, with redundant repetiton again (not like now).

I guess the goal is to CONVINCE the victim of this acrimony that he is of low intelligence,
or that he is a foul person, with the expectancy that success in this endeavor
will move the defamed person to adopt the philosophy of his tormentor,
relinquishing, disavowing n repudiating his former point of vu.

or to simply be quiet. However, this is what humans do, and it is useful as it is a way to test the metal of another. A person who needs "good" behavior from all around best consider finding another species to hang out with, as humans are both "good" and "evil"......or as I believe Jung put it both ego and shadow.

Oi stupid, that works when you're talking to reasonable people, not some unthinking propaganda machine.

@cicerone imposter,
Being called an anti-Semite by Oralboy is a lot like being called an uncircumcised Philistine by J Goldman.

@izzythepush,
It doesn't bother me one iota; he's a shrimp on a2k.

Calling anyone anti-Semite without really knowing the individual is simple ignorance; Oralboy couldn't be more ignorant if he tried.

You're not anti-Semitic, anti-American, anti-Russian, anti-France, ... just because you criticize the illegal and immoral policies of those governments.

There was a tactic once used by the denizens of A2K when responding to filth like Cicerone, Izzy, and the like.

They would just type "scroll, scroll, scroll", meaning they were scrolling past it without replying. It carried an unspoken denunciation of the post as worthless tripe, but didn't offer a lot of fuel to give the kooks another round of namecalling.

The tactic died out before I ever started here, but I once saw some old-timers mention it.

I've often thought that it might be the best way for me to respond to kooks, but for some reason I never do it. Maybe I'll start. I see Izzy and Cicerone have spewed up a new batch of name-calling.

This thread is hard to read. I haven't read oralloy in six or seven years, except in rare circumstances.
The thread seems to be all about him and his conjectures.

Meantime, I will check in here for news.

Yes. The charge that Italy habitually fabricates fake "evidence" against innocent people, is legit.

You're worse; you fabricate falsehoods about people on a2k you don't even know.

Prove why I'm an anti-Semite?
