@BillRM,
In the 1960s, I had a gray cat named Pussy Cat.
I raised him from being a kitten; got him from the ASPCA.
He stayed with us for many years.

1ce, my mother brawt home a kitten, whom she rescued from a desperate situation.
By his DRAMATIC reflexive facial expression n his body language of withdrawal,
he made it obvious that he was offended by having his territory invaded.

He had not been out for many years.

The next day he left, dashed out the door, and he never came back.

Cats are complex four legs "people" indeed and when Blue Eyes was beginning to feel bad he came to be to let me know.

Up date Blue Eyes is still in bad shape but showing remarkable improvements in the words of my vet this morning considering that he was on the knife edge of death when I brought him in.

The vet will be doing some more testings and will give me a call back in a few hours.

@BillRM,
Awe - your story of your cat, made me go in search of adopting a blue eyed white cat. After missing my Lily - she was greened eyed white cat with double paws, but I also had a blue eyed white cat that was deaf as a child.

Ok I been trying to post a few pictures of Blue Eyes after uploading them to photobucket and surrounding the address of the pictures with either the img or URL function without success to date.

How do you share pictures?

@BillRM,
I'm certainly no expert, Bill but after some instruction from BFN, I found that you have to STRICTLY follow the code.

I was just getting around to go down to my vet thinking I might need to had him put down as all day as I could not get must information from them on his condition.

They however just called telling me that he is eating on his own and his blood sugar level is now normal.

Please pick him up today!!!!!!!!

I thank all of you for the emotional support you have all offer me on this thread.

@firefly,
Firefly, Blue Eyes did not come home with me today it will instead be late tomorrow.

The vet recommended that I leave him with them for one more night/day to make sure he is as stable as he seems.

The vet stated that he did not get a lot of sleep the night before in keeping a watch on a cat that could had gone either way.

Then he said in some amazement, pointing to a large almost empty can of high calories cat food in the cage “Your cat just ate the bulk of this whole can”.

Looking at the can I saw that what had not been eaten was in the bottom corners of the can so with my fingers I move the remains to the center and Blue Eyes then finish up his meal.

This from a cat that was almost unconscious and so far gone his body was shutting down not even maintaining his core body temperature when I brought him in.

Cats are amazing in many ways.

Thanks you all for the emotional support you had granted me on this thread.

@BillRM,
Was the cat suffering from hypoglycemia, BillRM? What caused the symptoms he displayed when you took him to the vet?

Having the vet observe him for another day sounds like a wise course of action. It's a good sign that Blue Eyes has his appetite back. I hope the improvement continues.
