I have thought about becoming certain religious at times but always the religions are saying that you can't like porn and watch porn, it is sin to do so if you want to be dedicated to god, and all of those who work in porn are atheists. possible for someone to be into porn and praying to god???

No, you cannot. Truly religious people renounce their genitals, if they do not actually cut them off. They are ashamed of their nakedness, and will stone to death anyone who gets naked around them. God gave you sexual organs and a reproductive system so that you could experience shame and despair, and to lead you into sin. If you can't deal with it, that's just too goddamned bad.

So why religious people are anti-abortion and very pro life but then will say that you can't do very activity that creates the life??

@mt774,
That's a bit of a misnomer. There's a certain individual on these forums that is apparently a 30 year old virgin living in his mother's basement drawing cats and dogs and railing about how sex is immoral.

He's one of the religious people that doesn't know God.

At any rate, the bible actually encourages believers to multiply, but gives very specific guidelines as to under what conditions such activity is acceptable.

@mt774,
Obviously we are here to reproduce more people who will be a slave to God, so you just have to hold your nose, shut your eyes, and grit your teeth while doing the reproducing act.

That is not porn, however.

@mt774,
Don't make the mistake of thinking all religious people believe the same things. We don't.

My father always used to say, "God gave each person their own brain for a reason. If He'd wanted one person to do all the thinking for everyone, He would have just given one person a brain. Think for yourself." That was some of the best advice I've ever received.

Plenty of us "religious people" attend church regularly, pray frequently, support good causes, are pro-choice, and enjoy sex (including pornography.) The problem with porn, I believe, comes when it displaces a healthy sexual relationship with another person. As is often said, "All things in moderation."

@Eva,
The problem with pornography is it involves lusting after another individual that you 'likely' aren't married to which is tantamount to having an affair. Yes, it can also displace a healthy sexual relationship but there aren't really any quibbles about it being a sin in the bible.

What about if you like to watch the porn and do those instances of the porn in your healthy relationship? if i want for girl to act out a porn scene can i?, or must it be just normal sex on a bed with no fetish at all involved?

@Questioner,
Obviously we have different opinions. And that's OK with me.

To explain my opinion...
Porn objectifies people (which you may or may not think is OK) so it really isn't the same as lusting after a real flesh-and-blood person, IMO. And I haven't yet found a verse in the Bible that directly addresses porn, so I believe that is a matter of personal interpretation. To each his own.

the missionary position is the only one sanctioned by the church...

@Eva,
You're taking an image bearer of God and objectifying it. Can't see how you arrive at the opinion that that's acceptable.

And yes, I know there are many opinions out there and that there will always be those that twist what the bible says to follow their own pleasures and desires in whatever form they appear. Just as I know that a2k is the last place that such a debate will produce any positive results.

So sure. To each his own.

I don't have any problem with that. I think whatever two people want to do (as long as it doesn't cause physical damage) is perfectly fine and between themselves. The Bible does strongly encourage long-lasting, committed relationships, though. And I think that's the most sexually healthy option.

But those are just my opinions. The REAL question is...What do YOU think? (Read the Bible for yourself. Don't just accept others' interpretations without thinking.)

Well all porn stars and directors don't seem religious or conservative at all in the way they talk and their attributes.

The actress Belladonna is from very religious family and background but doesn't embrace that.

Most porn stars do drugs and are way more interested in the moneys and sexual exploration than praying.

drinking, tatoos, casual sex and smoking weed are all looked down by religious figures and nearly all porno stars live such way.
