There are lots of legitimate issues and complications involved in interracial romantic relationships between blacks and whites. Although the bottom line is the quality of the individuals involved, there are macro sociological issues and metrics that should concern Krystals mother or any white parent.

The most obvious is racist hostility toward the young couple from others, both black and white.

For some black males a white girl friend or wife is a status symbol, a trophy wife. Witness OJs preferences for white women. Ditto with Tiger Woods. Also, the lopsided ratio of black male/white woman couples in this phenomenon compared to the reverse, may reflect this motive. This trophy wife syndrome is obviously not a firm foundation for a lasting fruitful relationship.

But as I said earlier, the bottom line is the quality of the individuals involved. But just from a statistical standpoint, the dangers for the white woman are increased in these types of interracial relationships.

A white parent has many more things to be concerned about besides an increased risk of domestic violence if his daughter enters into an interracial relationship with a black man.

Sorry "liberals". These "inconvenient truths" are real. These are metrics that any parent of a white daughter should be aware of and concerned about.

As I said before, it is the individuals involved in the relationship that is the bottom line. No doubt, many will be lasting loving relationships. Although many will not be.

Just look at these metrics. A white parent should be concerned over a daughter dating a black man. as was outlined in this thread, the same as if she was entering into a teenage marriage or marriage with a fundamentalist Moslem.
