Are you saying this is true? Did you experience pain as your hair dropped from the scalp. I have never heard of this before and even asked my hairdresser, and everyone else in this particular beauty shop that day. She had never heard of this, and neither had anyone else. So, I asked hairdresser, "Do you suppose balding men suppress feelings of pain?" No,
men would never keep quiet about physical pain, said she. Is it possible they are too embarrassed?
I just can't seem to believe this.
I lost a small switch of hair, right in the middle of a cow-lick (is that word official?) and it was very painful before and after.
I miss that switch of hair. As kids, my friends and I used to sing very loudly:
On top of old baldy, there ain't any hair
but just a memory of hair that was there
Hair parts on the middle, hair parts on the side
but parting is sorrow, when the part gets too wide.
