Just because they weren't known doesn't mean those other continents didn't exist.

This here's the oldest continent,and we have interesting, different animals. Make sure you get a full set! (no, not that Set!)

Mind you - it's also the driest continent - might be a good place to sit out the floods!

@edgarblythe,
Make leashes for the marine creatures, Ed. They can swim alongside - wait a moment ... shouldn't they be in their element?

@JTT,
Yeah, I think that's what happened last time. A coupla whales were shoehorned on, and the unicorns were left out. This needs to be better-coordinated.

So, hmm, I don't disagree on Rivera being a great reliever, despite him being a damn Yankee. I have had him on my fantasy baseball team before (missed out on him this year). He has worn the uniform of the Skinny Puppies with pride, and chowed down on the kibble mixed with Gatorade with the others. So, is he gonna be responsible for poop removal?

As for feeding the carnivores, might I suggest holy rollers and politicians? Tell 'em they're being saved and they will come to you. Tell 'em that a condition of their being saved is to shoehorn in the animals and scoop the poop (that way Mariano can rest his arm until after they are gone. Note: do not feed Mariano to the carnivores).

You're welcome.
Izzie

@Izzie,
Margo, I won't be leaving anybody out. Don't worry.

edgar, I knew I could count on you. You can return the water creatures to their natural environment. They're not at risk.

The rest can stay in the lobby for a while. Let them be the doorman's problem until the boat is ready.

jes, Glad you know talent when you see it, even if Rivera is a Yankee. I haven't worked out all of the poop removal issues yet. I'm still ruminating.

Although I wouldn't be averse to feeding the carnivores any flotsam, be it politicians or whatever, my plan is to feed the carnivores fish! In these waters, I'm hoping we can land a few of the rare but extremely prized gefultes.

Izzie, Even gus can't get all the capybaras. Edgar finished the A's. He'll be at the C's in no time. I'm not concerned.

reg, I refuse to discuss that math stuff again. Crop circles! No aliens allowed.

@sozobe,
Not to worry, soz. We're throwing back the sea animals. I'm also inclined to throw back the sea birds as well, although we could probably use their fishing ability once we're onboard.

No need to remove it, Roberta, just include a methane producing digester which will provide for fuel to run the engines, heat the captain's quarters and the leftovers will provide fertilizer for the hydroponic gardens.

@JTT,
Engines? Don't know nuttin' 'bout dem engines. Hydroponic gardens? I had to look that up. Not a bad idea, but how the hell long am I gonna be afloat?

My plan is to line the interior with sod. The grazers will be happy. We can use some of the poop as fertilizer.

@hingehead,
hinge, We can collect the animals alphabetically. It makes sense. But they'll have to get on the boat in categories. Hey, zebras. Not to worry.

I noticed on Edgar's list that dog breeds are included. Not sure that we're gonna have room to break things down by breeds. We're gonna have to stop at the species level. Sighing. But I have to take a practical stance.

Might as well make it a cruise, see the world. And the hydroponic gardens, great place to grow a little weed. Have to keep all the plants of the world alive, doncha?

@Roberta,
Wouldn't this be a grand opportunity to find some unicorn DNA, clone two and right the wrong done to them by Noah?

There'll be green alligators and long neck geese, some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees, some cats and rats and elephants and as sure as you're born, we won't be forgettin' those unicorns.

I turned all the dogs loose. When we reach the Ds we can pick a nice Chihuahua or Saint Bernard.

@Roberta,
Hope that ark is getting done and fast, more rain expected this evening. Bloomy is planning to elevate the city as part of his multi-zillion dollar plan of sacrificing the little people (who will be holding the city above sea level, becoming human pillars).

But seriously, do hurry as the clouds are thickening as I write this message.

@Sturgis,
I noticed things were getting darker as I read the message.

Not gonna happen in time for this deluge. And Bloomy ain't gonna turn this kid into a pillar. I thought of Lot's wife. But she was salt. She'd melt.

As for the dogs, all the breeds are human-made. I'm thinking of finding two mutts and letting nature take its course.

Can't be concerned about flora. I've got enough to deal with.

I tell ya, this ark business is turning into a major pain in the ass. I'm reconsidering the cruise ship approach. Can't afford to be a passenger. Maybe Andy's idea of the ferry is a possibility.

Going to find some planks before it starts raining. No rest for the weary.
