How well do you think we know each other?

Are you sure it wasn't the shoulder holster and magnum, or the ammo cross belt,
or the hip holster with the two colts, maybe even the grenade belt, or the kalashnikov
over one shoulder and the RPG over the other, that gave you away.

The people I chat with here, have met and are in my life some how, have all been considered an extension of my family.
My own mother does not even know some of the things I have written here, nor do I think I could ever discuss some of the subjects I do here.

I know that I can come here, give a horrible ..of the mark opinion about something and change my mind five minutes later and just like a recorded track, people hear my voice in their heads and they 'get me'. In real life? The only person who gets me like that is Quade. Here? its half the forum.

Sometimes I feel like I know people here better than anyone else in my life. That I could ALMOST pick some of you out of a crowd with out ever having seen you beyond a simple snapshot you choose to share.

Its remarkable how that happens..

@boomerang,
You know - in retrospect - I think you've got an engaging or endearing qaulity to your posts. I think that is as good as funny. I never noticed that you weren't funny. I do notice your posts and more often than not, read them with interest because they are thoughtful.

@farmerman,
Now, at THAT I had to laugh, especially since you addressed jcboy there Laughing
---
I think I know certain people here quite well from either reading them for
good 8 years now or having met them in person. The only person that surprised me quite a bit, was georgeob1. In person he's much more agreeable and full of laughter, one always will have a good time with George around. This doesn't transmit in his postings, only sometimes...

As for me, I kind of keep my distance from most people, it's not intentionally, it's just part of my personality. I don't let people in my life easily.

As A2Kers who have met me in person can attest, there's no difference between me in real life and me on the internet, except that I'm taller on the internet.

I have had lunch with joefromchicago about four or five times. He is not afraid to disagree with me either online or in person. At least after lunch, we shake hands and wish each other well.

Anyone who has met cicerone imposter would agree that he is very friendly and mild-mannered in person. In person he is unreservedly friendly to everyone.

That's so true! He's just darling in person, and sometimes when I read his comments here I wonder if it's the same person.

We have long seen a nasty side of CI here, but I think him going after Dys was the last straw.
