@dlowan,
Funniest thing ever.....watching cats squabble about who gets to play the computer game the most.

@dlowan,
Just nearly became a possible world first.....

Or not.

I came within a whisker of possibly being the first human to require medical assistance due to injuries sustained because of their cats' involvement in violent video games.

Woollies were so excited after their games that they began tearing around the house, chasing each other wildly on all available horizontal and vertical surfaces. Sebastian became so wild that he nearly lacerated my foot by jumping onto it with all claws extended from the top of a book case.....twice.

I escaped with minor lacerations.

Now they are having a nice little rest. Butter wouldn't melt in their mouths.

Don't like to hear that you're getting injured. But I love hearing about the woollies. They're such cats.

@Roberta,
I'm still going with the alien intelligence theory.

These cats are like no cats I've ever known! I'd like to know 'em though. (Well, I do I guess, as much as we all do.)

Any chance of more photos? I'd love to see them playing video games.

@sozobe,
I was thinking about getting photos last night....but the iPad was on my chest and they were playing it there. Interesting viewpoint, that, I have to say.....I could see the intent little faces, their eyes reflecting the light, the pupils dilating when they were especially excited....little paws darting about. Then they'd pounce on the iPad and play from there.

A couple of times Viola tried to lift the iPad up to get at the creatures under that damned glass!

There's lots of videos on YouTube of cats playing these games.

I wonder if Maru plays?

Love those pics. I mean I LOVE them. Wish I had something like that when my felines were around. Thanks for sharing, bunny. You made me smile. Not easy today.

@dlowan,
How do those dainty little claws work on the touch screen?

@roger,
They use their pads not their claws....do not know why.
Perhaps the feel of the glass does not trigger claws? i have a cover to put on....I was just checking if they played before I went to the trouble.

Yep...these kids and their computer games.

It's not at all unexpected, though. The games trigger their instinctive hunting behaviour with the movements and noises. Cats don't care whether it's real little animals, toys or pictures, really.

I am fascinated to see which ones work. The mouse and rat on the app which has most of their favourite games on it don't trigger them at all. They'll play with a virtual ping pong ball with passion....but ignored the real ones I got them.

I am rationing time on the computer so they don't get bored with the whole thing.
