These two pictures were taken from the same spot.

@edgarblythe,
They predicted a 20% chance of rain for ABQ. I noticed that one of the dark clouds spit on us as it raced by. Wasn't even enough for the wet spot to show up on the sidewalk.

There's another 20% chance predicted for Saturday.

Between the two, hopefully you folks will get a few spits on your trees too.

@edgarblythe,
That's quite dramatic. Reminds me of the before and after shots of Lake Tahoe during one of our most severe California/Nevada droughts a few years ago.

Two bulldozers have been reconfiguring the lake bed while it is dry enough.

A storm is reportedly heading this way. Possible hail. Lightning. 50 MPH wind. Oh, lordy, bring back the drought.

@edgarblythe,
I guess this will confirm the health status of those trees for ya.

Hope things go well and everyone and everything is left still standing when it is over.

@edgarblythe,
Is that huge inlet flanking Houston on the east very deep, Edgar?

It should hit Tomball in about 25 minutes. I got a few things to move yet.

I've been thinking of you this morning. That huge weather pattern took a few hours to pass through Ausin. We got some good steady rain for a couple of hours.
Some thunder and lightning, no big winds though.

Crossing my fingers.

@edgarblythe,
Saw this photo of the storm as it passed through Arlington and postponed the baseball game...
