The very idea in the design of assault weapons was mass murder. The very name assault weapon was that it was a weapon to assault an enemy position during a war. Assault weapons were not designed for a domestic market. There is no need for a gun that kills 50 people at a time. If the makers of dynamite had a political arm to lobby against laws against the control of dynamite anybody might still be able to go into a hardware store and buy dynamite today. You could say that you had rabbits in the back yard and needed to get rid of them. Of course, when the dynamite went off and took your neighbor's house down and killed their two kids it would be accepted as part of the war on rabbits, but the important part is that the dynamite industry would make much bigger profits and they could pay much bigger political bribes. It is like a snake eating its own tail.

Trump has found somebody else to prosecute over the reflecting pool. It seems Nasty McWhiplash was caught scraping the side of the reflecting pool. At least according to Trump. Trump is determined to cover up the political corruption that went into the reflecting pool job. Most people know better than believe anything Trump says. Trump is playing to the home crowd his loyal followers they are like Mikee they will believe anything.

Trump is a big fan of the second amendment he has no problem with school shooting as long as they use guns manufactured by NRA companies some of his biggest contributors. Trump want those assault weapons to be made in America.

However, Trump believes that the First Amendment should be rewritten, free speech should only be granted to Trump. The days where citizens could exercise free speech in America are coming to an end. Trump has not been able to repeal the second amendment yet, but he has found other ways to stop free speech. Trump's litmus test for Free Speech is whether he likes it or not. Under Trump's new executive order if you are praising Trump for a good job he is doing that will be permitted. However, if you criticize Trump in anyway Trump will use the full force of the government to shut you up. If you have a late-night talk comedy show and make Trump the butt of some joke Trump will use all of government resources to see that your show is cancelled even threatening to stop a merger by the patent company.

If Trump hears a joke about him that he does not like he calls the company and demands, they fire the comedian. If they don't fire him, you will have their broadcast license removed. It shows how quickly one our most treasured freedoms can be taken away by a dictator like Trump. The republican party is responsible for creating this Frankenstein not so much by what they did, but what they did not do. The republicans in let Trump roll over them like he was a steam roller. The republicans could have convicted Trump during his impeachment trial and removed the monster during his first term.

The United States is now $40 trillion in debt we are only a few more Iran like wars to bankrupt the country. Meanwhile back on the ranch Trump is spending money like a drunken sailor erecting monuments to himself. Trump gave lip service to lowering the debt, but you have to have priorities, and Trump only had one intention was doing what the rich do waste money.

A young man asked an older man about racing. The older man told the younger one to get a stack of $20 bills and a cigarette lighter and burn that stack of $20s. If you like that you are going to love racing. I can picture Trump in the white house using a blow torch to burn stacks of money and you know what he enjoys it.

Trump's man in Minnesota lost the governor primary and surprise, surprise he claimed the election was fixed but when it came time for recount, he refused to pay the $825,000 fee needed to pay for the recount. Pillow head was the one that said voting machines were fixed in the 2020 election. He was sued for libel and lost. These lying liars need to be sued by the government and told produce proof or pay the piper. This slander is destroying our democracy. It easy to say the election is fixed but it is much more difficult to prove it. Put up or shut up.

Trump is d0ing his best to decide who can vote and who can't. He has set up a list of who can vote. The post office would use the list to decide who could cast a mail in ballot. It was never intended that the federal government take control of elections. Trump's strategy to win has always been to cheat and if that does not work cheat some more. It works for him at golf and it works when he cheated the vendors out of their money. Now he is using that same type of strategy for elections. It would be easy to omit people from the list and when they were blocked from voting and they questioned it they would be told that it was just a mistake of course most of those blocked from voting would be democrat. It is how Trump plays the game he just cheats. Many of his golf partners have claimed he just brazenly cheats. When a man cheats at a simple game it shows his character or lack thereof.

The great name war over the Kenndy center rages on Trump just has to have his name on it. The court has ruled that Trump's name had to be removed from the Kennedy center. Now the board voted to name it the "Kennedy Center for the Preforming Arts Restored and renovated by President Donald J Trump and Endowed by the Trump Kenndy Cener Fund." Trump is absolutely desperate to link his name in history to Kennedy and tap Kennedy's popularity. Trump's name would appear 3 times and Kennedy only twice in addition they would name the grounds below the center "The Donald J Trump Plaza"

I am a fair man and think there needs to be compromise I would be willing name the sh*ters the Donald J Trump Sh*ters and have Donald J Trump toilet paper with an image of Trump's face on each sheet. All these images of Trump face should feed Trump's enormous ego.

@Zardoz,
Toilet paper is one of the products likely to be hit by US/Canada tariffs.

@izzythepush,
A toilet shortage over here caused an absolute panic a few years ago people were buying shopping carts full but if Trump's picture was on toilet paper he would call out the National Guard to manufacture toilet paper.

If a local used car dealer had told over 30,000 lies, went bankrupt nine times, cheated his vendors out of their money. Would you buy a used car from him? Then why would you vote for Trump. Do you think Trump only cheats others and would make an exception for you?

In a reverse sting a guy drove up to a used car lot and made a deal on a car. After he left the owner told the lot boy to go get the car. The lot boy returned and said the motor missing. The owner said well go ahead pull it in here. The lot boy said you don't understand "the motor is missing; there is no motor. The owner said I saw him drive up in that car. The car had actually been pushed at speed and drifted into parking in front of the used car lots. Such is the used car business.

@Zardoz,
Once the tariffs kick in a sheet of toilet paper may be worth more than a dollar bill.

It looks like Trump has destroyed the head of world soccer league. Trump who cheats on everything including golf talked the head of the world soccer league to cheat to satisfy Trump. A US player had been suspended for a foul and would not be allowed to play in the next game. Trump managed to get the head of world soccer league to allow the player to play in the game and have a hearing 6 weeks later to handle the situation. This angered the opposing team so much that they easily beat the US. Now they are saying the actions of the head of the world soccer league was criminal and are calling for his head. How easy it is for Trump's criminality to rub off on others. Trump does not believe in rules, but others must pay the consequences.

@Zardoz,
That's not why he's being challenged. He tried selling off parts of the world Cup competition at undervalued rates to make himself and his corporate buddies richer.

@Zardoz,
Don't forget, he's the same guy who crowned Trump as the prince of peace, issuing him the first (and I hope only) "FIFA Peace Prize"last December, after the Nobel committee neglected to honor him.

@hightor,
Trump didn't corrupt Infantino, he found another corrupt, venal, self-enriching fellow traveller.

@izzythepush,
I think that letting a player play after he was suspended could have made the difference in a critical game. The appearance of cheating to appease Trump was obvious. This upset a lot people including me and I don't give an F about soccer. There is nothing like sanctioned cheating by management to destroy a sport. Trump publicly put his finger on the scales in hopes of becoming the hero of the game.

I have watched 100s of football games and nothing shifts the momentum like a bad call. When one team thinks they have been cheated they will fight like hell. Trump did not help the team win he made them lose. Trump can see only one side a problem his. He neglects to realize that there is another side. He surrounds himself with yes men and makes it very easy to be blindsided. He failed to realize that there would be an equal and opposite reaction from the other team.

We can all complain about Trump but the ultimate responsibility rests with us. Too many of us stayed home and did not vote. For a democracy to work we have to accept the fact that voting is responsibility not an option. I found out a long time ago that elections are not won by the majority but by active minority. It is counterintuitive but most elections the vote will be close by chance. If a minority can deliver a solid voting block of votes they can determine the election. In the last presidential election, the Christian right delivered a solid voting block to Trump which put him over the top without this minority voting block Trump would be in a nursing home today.

The tail has been wagging the dog in America politics. The majority can overcome minority but only if we votes. The minority is organized and you can bet they are being told to vote every week in church. They are not only being told to vote but they are being told who to vote for. It is called a slate if you group votes a slate and the general voters scatter their vote the slate will win.

In one union election the opposition ran a slate and I did not. I won president but opposition slate won all the other offices. Trump is running a slate by using his endorsements. The silent majority has stood by and watched this happen. If Trump can run a slate the silent majority can also run a slate. We can pass out lists of candidates who support our interests. We can take America back from the minority but only if we are willing to organize and do the work. The religious right would not have been able to elect Trump without their already existing organizations and lots of work.

@Zardoz,
It's not just the churches. Your media, (and to a certain extent, ours too,) is controlled by rich oligarchs who want to avoid paying any taxes.

Free speech is fetishised to the extent that lies are treated no differently from the truth.

@Zardoz,
You're right, but it was not enough on its own to challenge Infantino.

What he did wasn't illegal, it was unethical, but for many people it was a non starter after Belgium thrashed the US 4-1.

If the US had won people may have thought differently.
