@hightor,
The image of Jessus has been prostituted so much that he is hardly recognizable. Any preacher can mold Jesus's image to anything he wants. If Trump had his way he would put Jesus to death once and for all. He would replace him with a God that looked a lot like him.

Trump no longer wants to be just president he wants to be a God and some of his followers have publicly stated that he is the second coming and the sad part is that Trump believed them. Trump has erected a large golden statute of himself at his New Jersey golf club. Now like a Pharoh of ancient times Trump is building monuments to himself all over Washington, from ballrooms to arches to taking a Washington park and converting to another Trump golf course. The children won't have a place to play close to their house, but the billionaires will. No doubt Maybe Trump will have Lincoln evicted from the Lincoln monument and replaced with Trump, after all what has Lincoln done for you lately.

Trump is at it again he is lying his ass off. Probably the first President in history that believes that he can take over a country by the sheer force of his lies. Trump was telling the president of Turkey that Greenland was surrounded by Russian and Chinese ships. The trouble is Trump is the only one who sees them. Evidently, they have some sort of cloaking devices rendering them invisible. Why is Trump so determined to take over Greenland? Greenland has rich mineral deposits and Trump's rich friends want them. The motive is old as time one country trying to steal another country's natural resources.

Trump just claimed that he is the only reason that Isreal exists today is him. Trump raised lying to an art form.

Trump is beginning to hear footsteps. A price has been put on his head. There is an old saying live by the gun die by the gun. There is a whole nation gunning for him. They are religious zealots and dying for the cause considered an honor. Trump did something you don't do assonate a foreign leader and what goes around comes around. Trump flew over to the G7 on his new $400 million bribe but flew back on the old air force one. The old plane can be fueled in flight the new one can't. Trump may be afraid to land.

When Trump flew away from the G7 conference in his old plane because his $400 million plane does not have the defense capabilities even after spending another $400 million to upgrade it. The old plane was of military origin the new was a passenger plane. It looks like the only thing the new plane is good for is a curiosity in the Trump presidential library. When Trump flew out, he was advised to keep his window shades down, he usually keeps them up and waves to the crowd.

I have to wonder how much the bounty on Trump is. Iran would have no trouble raising money for the most hated many in Iran.

@hightor,
There were 10s of thousands of extremely angry zealots at the funeral and I suspect they were passing the hat. Trump tried to buy them off by offering them $100 billion to open the Straits. He might want to rethink that offer.

@Zardoz,
There were tens of thousands of pressganged people as well.

Just because the regime is intact doesn't mean it's popular.

@izzythepush,
I saw the wanted posters on the news this morning and the posted reward is $100 billion. That will attract the best in the business. If I was Trump, I would employ a food taster maybe several. Trump needs to remain in the basement of the White House for the rest of his term in office and beyond. Trump should remember from his days with his mob friends, if you hit them, they are going to hit you.

@Zardoz,
If you're hoping the Iranians assassinate Trump you're going to have a bloody long wait.

There's way too many variables, not least how the payment will be made, and how the "best" assassin will feel about living the rest of his life in Iran because he won't be able to settle anywhere else.

And Trump is the president of the United States, he has the best security detail on the planet.

He's paranoid, why do you think he flew back home on the original Airforce 1?

@izzythepush,
If history has taught us anything, it is that anybody can be killed even presidents. No one would have believed that the Twin Towers could have been taken down. There are far more sophisticated ways to kill people than ever before some that you could not even imagine.

Did Kennedy have a long wait? Did Lincoln have a long wait? Trump was only one inch away from joining them and it was a lucky inch.

Trump just barely escaped a rank armature do you think he could escape a world class professional?

When it comes to paying a world class assassin most people would not cheat him. The 50% of money is paid up front the rest will be paid in bit coins or a Swiss bank account.

John Kennedy and Lincoln were president and had the best security and both were killed.

Trump needs to spend the rest of his life in a bomb shelter, but Trump is a vampire and absolutely needs an adoring crowd for his fix.

The Americans had been warned for years about their lax airport security.

It would never happened had you had similar levels of security as the rest of the developed world.

Everyone else could see it coming.

It was a mixture of lax security and an inability to see that a lot of people had an axe to grind with America and would do that.

They had been threatening something since the first Iraq war.

No US president has been assassinated since Kennedy, and there have been plenty of attempts.

The only prime minister assassinated was Spencer Perceval back in 1812.

That doesn't make prime ministers safer than presidents.

The Iranians will not assassinate Trump.

If nothing else they're spending so much time and resources tracking down Iranian journalists in the West.

@izzythepush,
They even tried to take down the North Tower in 1993 by detonating explosives in the basement parking garage. They hoped it would collapse into the South Tower and topple that one as well. I think the fact that the attack failed made the USA even more complacent.

@hightor,
There was a BBC news programme, one that has since been heavily criticised, that featured the American ambassador and a load of British people.

Unfortunately it was heavily weighed with Muslim Britons who easily took up more than half of the studio audience, who all had very stong anti American views. Middle England had hardly any represnentation at all.

What I remember most was the the ambassador was genuinely shocked at the level of vitriol being directed towards him.

He really couldn't understand why some people would hate his country so.

I accept that the audience was heavily weighted with those who had anti American attitudes, but even under those circumstances I would have thought that the ambassador would have been more aware of global attitudes.

@izzythepush,
The USA's preoccupation with itself as some sort of exemplar of "freedom" was probably helped by its geographic isolation from the Old World, the oceans functioning as a "cordon sanitaire" protecting its citizens from all sorts of people and ideas which they were taught to mistrust and hate. Of course this splendid isolation could never be sustained – if it ever existed – as ocean travel became more reliable and people from Europe and Asia poured into the country. That's one of the first national "cognitive disconnects" which have characterized this country's self-image as portrayed by politicians, demagogues, and Hollywood studios.

To be fair, there were always attempts to skewer this fantasy, for instance the 1957 novel, The Ugly American, and social critics like Mark Twain, H.L. Mencken, and George Carlin. But, being fed to young people in grammar school, most USAmericans grew up believing this feel-good fairy tale and can react to it with disbelief and vehement hostility.

I think the first thing that tipped me off to the illegitimacy of the national myth was our appropriation of the name "America" to refer to the USA alone:

@hightor,
You're not alone.

The British Empire has constantly been glorified in cinema, even a progressive film like Zulu stressed the civilising nature of Britain.

The one that sticks out to me is North West Frontier where Kenneth More leads the last train out of a Hindu city surrounded by "savage" Muslims.

More rescues the white people, a Hindu prince and a baby, (sole survivor from when the Muslims massacred the penultimate train out,) all the while playing the paternalistic civilising force.

Herbert Lom is very villanous as the Dutch Indonesian, (and therefore Muslim,) antagonist.

And American arms dealers are also given a bloody hard time.

@izzythepush,
It is impossible to cover every possibility, no matter how hard you look into the future you cannot cover every possible scenario. Trump's ego will never let him be confined he needs the roar of the crowd like a drug addict needs drugs. The secret service cannot protect someone that campaigns full time.

When you are shot from a high-rise building from a long distance it would be hard to clear every building and every hiding place.

The fact that England has not had the gun violence we have in America is the gun culture handed down by the old west where the gun was the ultimate expression of maleness. In America there is something like an average are 20 guns per person and even their guns have guns. Lots of guns means lots of death. Politicians are not exempt.

The only reason no president has been killed since Kennedy is that they missed. The shot that killed Kennedy could only have been made by a relative few people in the world. The shot that hit Trump would only have missed by a few people.

The meeting on confirmation on Trump's nominee for Attorney General. The nominee is Trump's personal attorney, Taud Blanche. When questioned about the Epstein crimes. He stated that there are no chargeable crimes other than Epstein and Maxwell. One strangled one of the girls to unconscious several times and there is no crime there according to Blanch. There was island full of naked teenage girls being raped by rich Epstein friends but that is not a crime according to the Trump administration. Why? Then there are the allegations that Trump and Epstein called up teenage babysitter had their way with her. The justice department just stated that the story was not credible, Trump would not do that. The newspaper found the other details of the teenage story correct but the justice department will never investigate the teenage story. Would Trump and his buddy Epstein, do it? Dose the sun come up in the morning.

In the hearing for the Attorney general the republicans tried to downplay that Blanche had served as Trump's personal attorney. One Republican pointed out that a former president had appointed a friend as attorney general. That is not the same thing as a friend, he is not in a subordinate position. A former employee is in a subordinate position. Being in a subordinate position puts people at a huge disadvantage. At one time a woman employed by business could be told you either put out or you don't work here anymore. It was not taken seriously at the time. Law enforcement response was get another job. Now days that is no permitted, but it is an example how a subordinate can be pressured by a superior.

Blanche has already shown how far he will go. Trump sued the federal government because his tax returns were released but Trump then negotiated
a settlement that included giving $1.8 billion to go to Trump's thugs that took over the White House. They would have received about $3 million apiece for breaking into the White House. If this is an example of what Blanche will do for Trump the federal Treasury will be Trump's personal slot machine.

Trump has started the fear mongering it worked with the illegal aliens now Trump is championing the second great communist scare. It does not matter that there are very few real communists in America. The real target is the Democratic socialists who Trump opposed getting elected in New York. Trump wants the public to put anybody that anybody that isn't a follower of Greedism. Greedism is the political movement to put all of America's wealth in the hands of the rich few.

I read a post on Facebook where the woman was scared to death and was sure the communists were invading now. I have a message for her when you say communist say republican. The real communists are the republicans who founded the conservative movement. Frank Myers is the acknowledge Father of the Conservative Movement. Frank was a hard-core communist that towed the line for Moscow. He was thrown out of England for starting the Communist youth movement There is recent book detailing Frank Myers life. The republicans made Frank a hero for turning in his former friends in the communist party. He was a guest on Meet the Press.

If Trump wants to talk about communists let's talk about all the communists at the National Review and the communist spy like Whitaker Chambers given the highest award that can be given to an American citizen. If Trump is a conservative and the father of the conservative movement is a communist doesn't that make Trump a communist?
