@Baldimo,
Trump wasn't "cleared" of anything. He wasn't even questioned. He and his campaign welcomed any information — or disinformation — supplied by Russia and encouraged hacking and exposure by Wikileaks. This is simply "collusion" which didn't rise to the level of an illegal conspiracy.

Many people believe everything Trump says even though they know he has told 10,000 documented lies. Why anybody would believe anything he has to say is beyond me. Many people believe that if somebody is not charged that they are innocent, nothing is further from the truth. I was called to check out a job where a contractor had put a roof on for a school teacher. One of the contractor’s employees had collected for the job then a few days later the contractor showed up an insisted that he had not been paid that the employee had never given him the money. She paid the second time for the roof. The contractor had collected for 28 pieces of bad sheeting usually there are only a couple of bad pieces of sheeting on a relatively new house. Next one of the contractor’s was found with her credit card. He told the police she had given him her credit card to buy school clothes for his children. The teacher was a bad alcoholic and suffered from some dementia. There was no way that she would make a decent witness in court. Were the conmen guilty? You bet. Could I prove the conmen guilty in court without a good witness? No. I talked to policeman who said the conmen would keep taking her until everything was gone. The conmen knew the day when her investments paid off and one conman would turn the other in if the other conman got her money first. She had one daughter who was a college professor in another town and wanted nothing to do with her mother. I turned the case over to the state attorney general office. I did finally get that conman arrested on another case where he targeted the Marshall University Liberian. It seems he was driving a truck with a license from a truck he had reported stolen. It seems he had the foresight to remove the license tag from the stolen truck before it was stolen. It was nice to see him in handcuffs even for a while.

Recent polls show that not only would Biden beat Trump in a head to head matchup but the top six democrats would also beat Trump if the election were held today. Trump’s internal tracking polls show the same thing. Trump instructed his employee to lie about the polls and call the others fake news. This is Trump’s answer to everything, lie about. You can never trust a liar and to be sure Trump is the world’s greatest liar. Only 40% would vote for Trump compared to 53% voting for Biden. Bernie Sanders would win 51% to 42%. Kamala Harris would win 49% to 41%. Elizabeth Warren would win 49% to 42%. Corey Booker or Pete Buttigieg would win 47% to 42%. Trump thinks he can just lie the polls away.

Trump is in trouble in the polls and he knows it and he knows that there is one way to become more popular. Start a war, wartime presidents are far more popular as the country comes together behind a wartime president. When Trump took office there was a treaty with Iran that a number of other countries signed. Trump broke the treaty and re-imposed sanctions on Iran distributions of oil. The other countries subject to the treaty continued to honor it. Trump like baby Bush before him needs to start a war in the Arab oil fields for another reason, a war in the oil fields will send the price of oil thru the roof. Baby Bush gave us $5.00 a gallon gas, Trump will give us $10.00 a gallon gasoline soon. If Trump had continued to honor the US obligations, we would not be on the verge of yet another long an unending war with an Arab country. If you back a country into a corner long enough, they will have no choice but to fight.

@Zardoz,
They played this same game in 2016, took every chance to show someone else other than Trump doing well in the polls, we know the media pushed the "Hillary is going to win" BS for as long as they could, until it was clear that she had lost. The same thing is going to happen this time as it did last time, Trump will likely win and you crazy leftists will continue to flail your arms and cry. The temper tantrum has gone on long enough, but know you leftists, you will start a civil war and call it a "revolution". You've already said as much in previous posts.

@Baldimo,
You will of course remember that Hillary did indeed win the popular vote as predicted by the polls. Trump won under a corrupt system that allows one person’s vote to count 10 times while others vote will only count a fraction. The electoral college was originally set up to assuage slave owners because slaves were not counted as people. This system allowed slave owners to count their slaves as ½. The FBI’s last-minute announcements about the investigations into Clinton emails hurt. Trump has already announced that it will be Trump and the Russians verse the American people in the 2020 election. When Trump was asked if he would take Russian help in the next election, he stated he would. Condition are responsible for revolutions not people. The polls show a much bigger lead on Trump than they did prior to the 2016 election.

Blah, blah, blah — no, there was no "game" and we don't "know" the media pushed Clinton's candidacy, that's simply your biased interpretation. You're practically seething with envy, "Poor Trump, Hillary's poll numbers were fake, it's the wicked media..." Ridiculous. Clinton simply started out with higher poll numbers which deteriorated as the campaign progressed, thanks in part to help supplied to Trump by Russia, Comey's re-opening of the e-mail investigation, and most importantly, the fact that she ran a very poor campaign.

No, the "same thing" is not going to happen. Trump may very well win, but I guarantee, it's not going to be "the same". Again, a ridiculous conceit on your part. I don't know anyone who's "flailing their arms and crying" more than you with your constant complaints about the media, the DNC, and Hillary.

Your feeble caricature of the left — "crying" and "temper tantrums" — is merely a juvenile insult with no foundation in reality and doesn't resemble any behavior I've seen. A "civil war"??? You mean exacerbating the tensions between the different economic and racial strata in this country for political gain? You're quite the comedian —that's what Trump does! Except he doesn't called it a "revolution", he calls it "Making America Great Again". Good grief.

Trump told his followers that if he is not reelected the stock market will crash by 10,000 pts. The sad part is that some people will believe it. He also claimed at bill signing ceremony everyone there was crying when the film was run there was not one single person crying. Trump is a shameless liar he does not care that he is lying and he does not care that that the event was filmed. His followers will believe everything he says and believe that the film was fake news. When someone like Trump gets elected it says more about the country that elected him than Trump himself. Next year we will have a chance to correct a wrong that has not only damaged this country but the world.

Trump tell his audience that he is the only man in the world that can save the United States. How fortunate that the country voted for the only man in the world that could save us. Trump has watched way too many superhero movies. I am surprised Trump does not ware his cape and superhero tights with a big “S” on the chest in the Whitehouse. I would not be surprised if he jumped out of the Whitehouse window only to land flat on his face. I had nephew who tried to fly when he was small.

The popular vote means nothing to a Presidential election. This keep being brought up like it means something. Are you going to proclaim that a different team should have won the game because they had more passing and rushing yards?

Quote:

Trump won under a Constitutional system. There I fixed that for you. The rest of the claim is BS and doesn't mean anything under the EC system. CA and NY should not determine how our country is run.

Quote:

I think you mean the 3/5ths Compromise... History really isn't your strong point is it?
The reality of te 3/5th was to prevent the south from becoming to powerful and overwhelming the country with what they wanted. If Slaves had been counted 1:1, the southern states would have had all the power.

Quote:
The FBI’s last-minute announcements about the investigations into Clinton emails hurt.

It didn't help her, but they shouldn't have lied and stated she didn't commit a crime. Those of us who worked with such info, knew she violated the law and knew Comey was lying about "intent".

Quote:

That isn't exactly how it went down, and it figures you would twist what was said. As was pointed out, Hillary Clinton had plenty of foreign interference, the FBI, CIA and other govt agencies spied on the Trump campaign. There was never any collusion and the Obama admin tried to make it that way, using foreign intelligence agencies to spy on Trump and his campaign.

Quote:

That's exactly why I'm calling BS on the polling numbers, the MSM did this same thing in 2016 and we know how that turned out.

Not my interpretation, it's actually evidenced in the coverage they gave Clinton vs Trump. You can count the hours of negative press, which backfired on the MSM, vs the hours of positive press they gave Clinton. Even when the FBI came out with their ill fated attempted boost of Clinton, the MSM still was on her side and claiming the email issue wasn't really an issue... Benghazi wasn't an issue, even though Clinton lied about the reasons for it. Yeah, the MSM loved Hillary and did everything they could to get her elected.

Thanks to the help she got from the MSM and DNC over Bernie Sanders.

I'd share some youtube video's with you of people doing such things, but you wouldn't watch them and just claim they were fake.

You need to get out of your box and look around a little bit. The left has been having fits since Nov 2016, changing the EC is one of the easiest things to point out, states passing laws to demand tax returns from candidates... continued pushing of the false collusion narrative, your very reaction to this post. I could go on and on, but you won't listen.

@Baldimo,
For democracy to work we depend on the one man one vote principal. There is absolutely no point in me voting in a presidential election because in effect I don’t have a vote. Trump got 67.8% and Hillary got 26.5% in WV in the 2016 election. I already knew that in the most ignorant state union would vote overwhelmingly for Trump before the election. There was no reason to vote, the corrupt system called the electoral was set up to assuage slave owners. This works against the Republicans in states like New York and California. California went to Hillary Clinton 61.5% to 33.2% for Trump. New York went to Clinton 58.8% while Trump got only 37.5%. Experts wonder why so many people don’t bother to vote, this is why they know in advance their vote will not be counted in the actual contest. Only when America actually makes it one man one vote will we have corrected the corruption of the past.

Having a system where only the leading teams score counted would be similar to the electoral college.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The electoral college is a ghost of the distance past and should be struck down by the supreme court because it clearly violates the one man one vote principal. It serves to suppress the vote and convince the American people that the system is corrupt. If an election were held in most countries and the loser was installed as president there would be a revolution to remove him.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The idea was that blacks in the south would not count as real people and the South was rural and not as populated as big northern cities. Whether blacks were counted as a ½ person or 3/5 a person it underscores a system based in corruption.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Hillary didn’t commit any crime that Trump isn’t committing 10 times every day. A very extensive history of FBI files was run and everyone that had been charged with that violation and Hillary was treated exactly as the others were treated for the same violation. The only thing that was different is they did not receive the extensive publicity that Hillary did. Other federal employees that committed the same violation were never charged either.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
That was exactly how it went down in the 2016 election and that it is exactly how it will go down in 2020 Trump and the Russian verses the American people. There is another more common word for “spying” it called investigating and every citizen is subject to being investigated and Trump is no exception. When Trump publicly told the Russian, they would be richly rewarded if they would find and publish Hillary’s missing 30,000 emails that is collusion.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
You know what they say about bearer of bad news, Trump fired his pollsters today because the news was far worse than he wanted to hear. The problem it seems was that Trump pollsters leaked the bad poll numbers to press. Trump had instructed his pollsters to lie. Trump hates the truth in any form and anybody that tells the truth.

And that has nothing to do with the quality of Trump's campaign? You mean the MSM is not supposed to quote Trump's hateful rhetoric, criticize his lies, highlight his sexism and racism, draw attention to his business failures, discuss his total political inexperience, or comment on the atmosphere of violence which characterized his rallies?

Our parents always told us that our reputation is important because it will follow us the rest of our lives. Reputations are not only important to people but also countries. Trump has given America a reputation as a nation of liars that can’t be trusted. When the tankers were attacked in the middle east even close allies like Japan refused to believe the US. Trump has damaged America far more than most people can imagine. It will take 200 years to repair some of the damage done by Trump to America’s reputation. You can never trust a liar in a business transaction and certainly you can’t trust a liar on international relation while Trumps lying does not bother his cult of followers it does bother other world leaders.

When America elected a well-known grifter and conman they had no idea how much damage he could do to America’s reputation. Trump does not honor any agreement and he believes that he can break any agreement without consequences. How can any country deal with a cheat and a thief? Trump lived a very public life and his swindles, like Trump University, are no secret. Trump, like most people with a criminal mind, is not ashamed of his swindles, he is proud of them. When he swindled all of the people with his casino swindles, he was proud of every single dollar the victims were swindled out of. Why? Because every dollar he swindled his victims went into his pocket.

Is it any wonder that the Japanese demand more proof about who attacked their oil tanker? When a foreign leader deals with America the first thing they do is closely study the character of the president they are dealing with. You can bet that foreign leaders know far more about Trump than the people that voted for him and they are far more objective.

It is called taxation without representation and now we know how much it is costing the American middle-class. It seems the Trump tariffs have cost the American middle-class $22 billion by May before Trump doubled the tariffs on China. Now the Republicans have finally decided to reign Trump in and take away his power to tax the American people without representation (tariffs). Some believe a court case could be made to overturn the Trump tariffs on the bases that they amount to taxation without representation. Our representatives in congress have no say on whether tariffs are imposed or how high those tariffs will be. Chuck Grassley, Republican Senator from Iowa is leading an effort to create a bill to take back congress’ power to control the imposition of tariffs. Trump is much like the Mad Hatter running wild.

Does anybody else think this is a dog and pony show? Last week the Trump administration reported that one drone was shot down after the oil tanker were attacked and another drone suffered a near miss but that drone seems to be forgotten now and only the one shot down yesterday seems to be important. Would not two drones be shot down be worse? Which brings up the question was the story of the drone being shot down last week a lie to insight violence? Is this why Japanese would not believe Trump? Trump is now casting himself in the hero’s role in his latest con. Trump said when he was informed that a 150 people would be killed, he called off the attack with minutes to go. The problem was that Trump was informed how many people would be killed when the attack was being planed but Trump wants to be the hero of this con.

Many people that voted for Trump comforted themselves that he would be kept under control by other people in his administration. I think a decision had already been made that he would not live to start a nuclear war by some staff members. We know from accounts from inside the Whitehouse that some kept things off his desk or removed them from his desk to keep him from signing them but Trump has learned from previous incidences where he was blocked. The latest incidence with Iran shows how capricious Trump is, first deciding to attack Iran and then calling it off with minutes to go. He has also postponed his immigration crack down which was suppose to send millions back to Mexico. Common sense tells us that deporting even a million Mexican dreamers is physically impossible. All these things show Trump is unstable and getting worse.

Diminishing the capacity of magazines and increasing the time necessary to chamber each round would make mass shootings less deadly.

Actually I don't think firing rate matters very much. And there is not much difference in firing rate between a lever action and a semi-auto anyway.

What matters is ammo capacity, and how quickly a gun can be reloaded.

If a gun has a limited number of rounds and cannot be reloaded rapidly, the ability to go though that handful of rounds slightly faster will not make any difference.
