Most people are blessed with relatively good health for many years but at some point, they are going to have a serious health problem. You have no health insurance and the doctor tells you that you have stage three cancer and your treatment is going top cost a million and a half dollars but you say I have no health insurance. The doctor says no problem you just go buy a health insurance policy, they can’t turn you down and the insurance company will have to pay that million and a half. You don’t see a problem there? The insurance company can only pay with dollars other policy owners paid in all their lives. So, the cost of the deadbeat’s medical bills would be shifted to legitimate policy holders making the cost of health insurance to go through the roof, the only ones who benefit are the deadbeats who paid for none of their medical bills. If the requirement for pre-existing continues without mandatory health insurance all health insurance companies will bankrupt within ten years and nobody will have health insurance.

That means even the upper middle class would have a hard time paying for health insurance. Your insurance increases may have been simply your employer shifting the cost to you. See the similarities between Bill Gates at the bar and those whose income increase was represented by a bar 62 ½ feet height. Life got much better for 1% and much worse for the 99%. The wealth was supposed to trickle down instead it trickled up.

When you configure a calculation, you determine which factors will be used in the calculation. One of the factors in the calculation for cost of living is the cost of memory for a computer. If the cost of memory gets cheaper, and it has fallen quite significantly, this factor lowers the reported inflation rate. It is a fudge factor.

Jane Fonda will go down in history as a hero, someone who saw something wrong and stood up to stop it. She is a true American hero there are a lot of people alive today that would have been killed 50 years ago in rice paddy for nothing. If you are a weapons manufacturer and want to test your weapons the best thing is start a war and keep it going for years on end.

We took over a war that the French were waging against the Vietnamese people. The French had been robbing the country blind and shipping all the food out of the country while the population starved. Ho Chi Minh tried to strike an alliance with the US before he struck an alliance with the communists. These were not ideological communist so much as people that were watching their families starve. Vietnam had reached that critical wealth equation where the 1% have 99% of the wealth and the 99% have only 1% of the country wealthy the revolution was inevitable. I have a problem with greed. There is nothing wrong with making a reasonable profit but charging Americans one price and the rest of the world a fraction of that cost show how out of whack our system is. When a drug companies buy and orphan drug and raise the price hundreds of times that is just greed. Proposed laws would require drug manufacturers to sell their drugs at the same price they sell them to other countries which is a small fraction of what the cost is here. There are exceptions to every rule but it is just not new drugs that the insurance companies refuse to pay for. The insurance companies are not only picking doctors they decide what drugs you can have. Even if the doctor prescribes it the insurance company can and does refuse to pay for it. One of the drugs that was prescribed drug had more than one use and the insurance company refused to pay. It is not necessary for fire insurance, auto insurance, or life insurance and therefore should not health insurance should be no different. Either the states control health insurance or the federal government takes over all the insurance. Treatment for breast cancer costs is now over $500,000 your share is a $100,000 if you have insurance, if it comes back your share may be $250,000. Our finance director was key in changing our insurance policy to 80% and I watch him cry in a city council meeting after his wife’s breast cancer came back, he was literally destroyed financially. Why bother to have an insurance policy that does not protect you from bankruptcy when you have a medical claim?
