How long do you think it will take the Republicans to blame President Obama for the Japanese earthquake?

@BumbleBeeBoogie,

It's the sort of nonsense which deepens the divide.

@Sturgis,
They've blamed Obama for everything else, so who is dividing?

You are just by creating a thread with such a statement. It's no better than the Democrats that blame the Republicans for everything.

@dyslexia,
It was actually homey-sexuals watching Teletubbys and Modern Family (which they tell me has a homey-sexual couple Shocked !) which caused the tsunami. I'm sure Pat Robertson will attest to it.

Why not? Besides, there are only five letters in Obama, making the name easy to remember.

I figure republicans would be largely in support of the tsunami. So they won't give Obama the credit.

Johnny Carson observed that Americans have treated the Japs very badly.
We dropped 2 nuclear bombs on them,
and then President Bush went over there and threw up on them.

Naaahh, its too late to be thinking about supplementing our attacks on them.
The war is over.

@Eorl,
Why would Republicans support a tsunami? I can't see any connection.

Yes, and will Christians blame atheists for the earthquake in Christchurch?

I find what I said and what you said about the republicans blaming Obama are both deeply tactless.
Making a joke on top of 10 000 dead, a melting nuclear powerplant, millions of suffering goes under freedom of speach. Even though we have freedom of speach we also have something called being tactful.

@saab,
I agree and I apologise.

It was right wing racist rednecks I had in mind really, and those who rate Christians or Americans or white people of greater value than other humans, but even then I imagine almost all are sympathetic to the plight of the Japanese right now, and therefore it was a very low thing to say.

In my defence, inappropriate humour is often my way of dealing with appalling horror such as this.

Nevertheless, I'm sorry I said it.
