I think brain chem is linked to genes at least to some extent.
Amniotic fluid chemistry? I have no idea, Is that responsive to what you eat, or what chems are routine products of your particular brain?

Still no job updates, but I'm not feeling anything like I did yesterday.

It's a beautiful day ~ not a cloud in the sky, close to eighty degrees and I actually made it out to apply for two jobs. Of course, if this medical office ever gets around to calling, I'll drop thoughts of the other two like hot potatoes.

I am going to spend the rest of my day reading Wolves of the Calla out on the porch.

Thanks for the pick-me-up last night everyone. Hope ya'll are having a great day!!!!! Very Happy

Love,

Rae

I'm glad to hear things are better today, you sound much more cheerful! Very Happy I just wish this bloody medical office would get back to you. Very rude! Evil or Very Mad

Yes, Stefan, I do know what you mean!

Sorry I missed your call last night ~ I was out cold by 7:30 p.m. Slept like a baby. Tonight however is a different story. I was in bed at 8:00 p.m. .....two hours later the computer's back on because I can't sleep.

This would be AFTER taking my sleeping medication, too. Oy.

How often do you take sleeping meds Rae? Is it temazipan, diazipan, valium or similar? I can tell you from experience that they don't keep working for long, they're very addictive and they only help you get off to sleep. If you haven't gone to sleep two hours after taking them, they won't make any difference. But if it's anxiety/depression medication that's keeping you awake, that is one side effect that does tend to wear off.

Hiya Wilso,

My sleep med is called Trazadone and I've been taking them for six weeks. Most nights I even cut them in half because they make me sleep for too long. (I don't even use them on the weekends.)

I'm feeling anxious for some reason ~ nothing going on tomorrow that I know of. There are only two other times the sleep med hasn't worked ~ the night before an interview and the same thing the following week.

I have another evaluation with the psychiatrist on the 13th and will bring this up.

Cool

Itty-bitty good news folks.....

Decided that I'd waited long enough to hear from this medical office (that name doesn't do it justice, by the way ~ it's a huge company here in FL).

I called the lady I interviewed with, apologized for intruding, told her who I was and mentioned that I hadn't heard anything about the job yet.

She went out of her way to apologize ~ said that becuase of her being called out of the office for four days last week has turned her office into a zoo of backlog. I commiserated and asked her where I stood.

She said that I was still the only candidate they were looking at for the position.....all that was needed was for her to finish out my paperwork and then I would have to go through a screening process.

She also promised that I would be contacted next week ~ either way.

I'm a happy girl tonight.

Oh, hey!

Great news on both counts. That you went ahead and called -- major points for that! And the news that you received, as well. Cool.

Sorry for the misspelling.....

Thanks, c.i. and sozobe!

I've mentioned this to only one other person in my life a few years ago and I want to express the same sentiment to you two.....Even though I've never met you, I miss you.

Thank you Montana, Vivien and Eva.

Sozobe.....one of these days, yes. Congratulations, by the way, on the new niece or nephew.....If you make it down to Miami for the birth, I fully expect a drive-by visit! And I won't take no for an answer! I'd even be happy to meet you at the airport for a bit of a palaver. Just let me know!

I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to convince Phoenix and Letty to make the trip with me......
