It's all good stuff here ~ I swear!

You said that your speech lets you down sometimes ~ it happens to me, too, especially while looking for work.

Last April seven A2K'ers spent a weekend with my Mom and I and it was great. I had to give a little 'speech' for them and I didn't fail at all because I was among friends.

I'm relieved to hear that you're at least thinking about getting back on your meds. Sometimes we can't do it without help. I look at it this way ~ if the worst thing I have to deal with is taking medications to help me through my days, then it's worth it. I feel more 'normal' now than before taking them and that is a huge relief.

Once again, I'm turning off my computer now so I can get back to reading my book.

Be good and know you're not alone!

Love,

Rae

Nells, please don't feel that you are a burden or anything to us here. That's exactly what threads like these are here for - to share your problems and get some support. I think a lot about you. We are almost the same age - I was born in 1962. So you're story really keeps me thinking...

Rae, my dear, what book IS that?

Thanks Urs53 appreicate the support, very much. We all take thing for granted not knowing whats round the corner. Its not until you struggle to do things, that you realise. It makes you think thats for sure.

Rae I was also wondering what book your reading, just nosey.

'Wolves of Calla' by Stephen King. Urs, please tell Stefan that I'm over halfway through it and really can't put it down. I don't know why it took him so long to read!

How are you doing today, nells1961?

I'm doing so-so today, thanks for asking. In addition to the job I interviewed for on Wednesday, I applied for three more yesterday and I haven't heard anything. I know, realistically, that these things usually don't happen overnight, but I'm still disappointed and feeling down about it.

On the other hand, my son is supposed to stay with us this weekend and my ex-husband has agreed to let me take my dog, too. (He has custody of her ~ Maggie.) She's the cutest little dog ~ I always describe her as a perpetual puppy because her mother was a cocker spaniel and her father a dachshund, so she's always been tiny. And she's almost twelve years old.....she used to be jet black, but has spots of gray all over now.

So, I'm very happy about my visitors!

Hey Rae, dear!

Go on and have a nice weekend with the gang! Won't be able to read though, hehe! Small price, I guess. But how's Paddy and Lacey gonna take having a dog around? I guess that'll keep ya on your feet for a while, girl!

Haven't been reading much lately, got 2 books that I'm reading now, one of them IS actually, still, Wolves of the Calla! Guess I don't want that story to end...

Have a nice weekend, y'all! I gotta go to work...

I just dropped by at the restaurant, Rae. Lots of women there! I hope the tips will be good!

So, how are you going to manage with the dog and the cats?

Let's see.....Maggie, A#1 son and I got back to the house at about 6:15 p.m. The cats were buggered completely and ran to all corners ~ they are now holed up in Mom's room with all of their supplies. And Maggie, although she wanted to make friends, is completely comfortable even after her bath.

She's absolutely loving the carpet ~ there is only tile in her house.

We will post pictures of my adorable puppy tomorrow!

Thanks, Urs, will do!

I can't believe I completely forgot to tell you all something!

The job I applied for Wednesday (in the medical office).....I got a call back from them on Friday. They did give the position to the other applicant, but in the meantime they've taken on another doctor and will be needing another office tech for him. I asked if would have to interview again and was told no ~ she just needed to let her boss know on Monday that I'm interested in the job. So, I'm assuming my references have been checked and that I will get the job.

It will be forty hours a week for about three weeks ~ until I get the hang of things, then I go to per diem ~ this office has a per diem requirement ~ nothing less than three days a week. When I told my sister about it, she said that most likely I would get more money that way ~ most per diem people do.

So, I'll get a call tomorrow and let ya'll know! Still can't believe I forgot to tell you! Embarrassed
