@CalamityJane,
REALLY PISSED IN PA!!.

I ordered some stuff from Cheap Joes. My order came out to about 25$ and my Shipping and handling was 13$. CMAON. 38$ for a few tubes of Sennelier color? Its cheaper for me to schlepp into Lancaster and go to the Art STore.
This e-commerce , even without tax, is costly.

@farmerman,
You just don't know how to use it, farmerman. First you look online for
your Sennelier colors where they have the cheapest available. Then (if they
don't offer free shipping) you'll go to www.retailmenot.com and see if you
can get any coupon codes for the online company (most of them do) and
from there you either get a general discount or free shipping.

Example: HERE is a case of pastels (36 colors) $ 78.99
Then you'll go to www.retailmenot, give in the URL where you want to buy
the Sennelier from and all kinds of discounts pop up. You apply the code
to your order and voilĂ  you got a good price.

@CalamityJane,
In the time I spent looking for available coupons for Sennelier watercolors, I called the LAncaster art store and asked for the price of these p[aints. It was about 1$ a tube more than any other site. I tried some coupons sites and "No COupons currently available" when I clicked in Sennelier colors. I could buy all knds of brushes and paper but NO paint.

I also wanted a small orifice squirt bottle called "Oiler Boilers" , I only found cheap Joes. (same shipping crap cause no coupons were available).

I went into LAncaster, bought the paints, had a latte and Im back home working on a painting

MA and I went to Black Sands beach day before yesterday and I took a sketch book and my favorite sketching pen and I spent some time working on a big honu (turtle) sleeping in the sand.

@JLNobody,
Well, the month is up (the month in which my eight 30X40 acrylics were displayed in the bookstore). I got my share of compliments and phone calls regarding them. That was very pleasant given that I exhibit works because of deep-seated exhibitionistic impulses rather than commercial goals. I want them to be seen as much as I would like them to be sold. The former is essential, the latter not. These eight works will now go to the downtown ASU campus where they will spend "eternity" with the 50 paintings already hanging there.

@farmerman,
It's not that difficult; 1) download your pictures from your camera to the computer, 2) download the Photobucket.com software (free membership;write down your password), 3) on photobucket, hit "upload images and videos," and look for the picture you wish to post, then hit download, 4) once downloaded, click on one of the URL links below the picture, highlight it to copy, press Ctrl and C at the same time, 5) go to a2k thread where you want to post it, hit Img on the BBCode Editor, and "paste" the URL by pressing Ctrl and V.

That's it!

@farmerman,
Great, farmer!

I too am in a 'pause' state from just learning to use my digital camera but not having opened the direction book on how to download them. The matter of getting them on to a2k after unloading is not all that hard though. I say that since even I have done it, but I remember being perplexed.
