Please wake up. Palin isn't even a bad joke, anymore.

@roger,
I know some think I hold only liberal views on everything, and I do have liberal leanings. It's just that mr G'bag is more pure than I am. We're not pacifists, but we are not Hawks either because we've both seen the horrors of war and both worked for DOD in positions where we did everything possible to keep US troops safe. Between the two of us, we worked every conflict from 1968 thru 2008.
Considering Trump as a possibility or Cruz is a slap in the face.
Didn't mean to sound grim Roger, I lost my sense of humor when Trump threw his hair hat into the ring. It makes me weep.
I'm not even close to smiling. I don't like that Democrat, either.

@glitterbag,
What makes me weep is the support Trump gets.

"If this doesn't work out," Trump's latest phrase. What does it mean?
Yesterday, I listened to a full Trump rally address from the 17th and I heard slip in (amid the primaries, Crooked Hillary's, walls, second amendments, "Get him outta here's," etc.) the phrase "If this doesn't work out."
Both times there was a context: Something like "This is a movement. If this doesn't work out (gesturing outward with his hands), we'll know we really did something."
Which means, he's been thinking about it.
That's the only sure conclusion. But, it doesn't take much speculation to think he is resigned to losing. (That phrase, in his address, seems happy, if not gleeful. Of course, he's a con-man.)
Another speculative step: He's resigned to losing because he doesn't want to win.
Maybe he never wanted to win.
Maybe he wanted to win but as it came closer to becoming possible, he decided to "blow it" by ignoring Republican Party advice, continually shooting himself in the foot, rallying in red states, insulting Party leaders, etc.
Maybe hi desires have varied over the months, but now I seems he's scared he might win so is trying to implode.
And each night around a golden fireplace with his advisors and kids: "Look what we did. Wow! If this doesn't work out . . ."
That doesn't surprise me. The idea of using a presidential run as a prelude to a media business empire would be completely in keeping with the same thinking that allows Trump to consider scrapping NATO if the other members don't start paying the US. He comes from the world of high power business negotiation/confrontation and he can't mentally separate business deals from how you run the country. NATO is not bottom-line profitable for the US, so the other countries in it have to get up the money or they get dropped. Forget about the fact that if that happens, we are likely to see Russia's brand new tanks rolling into Paris in a couple of years.
How anyone can consider letting this guy get within 100 miles of the White House is dismaying.
Seems hes already qorking on a "back story" for when he loses. He did this when he lost control of his Atlantic City hotels and casinos. (It provided him with a better cash stream than outright "ownership")
WSJ and Bloomberg are now saying his real income per year is around $450,000/yr and that his "fortune" is based to much on his own "facts and figures", he's just looking for income stream.

It's a well-worn path at this point: run for President, have someone ghost-write a book, profit.
Yeah, I know you are being sarcastic here. The other Republican candidates opted or chickened out. Takes a real ass to be President with the country in such sad condition. There are no quick fixes. Let Trump rule! I cannot stomach that old hag being the President.
Sad shape my foot. When Obama first took office, the country had LOST 6 Million Full Time jobs the previous year under Bush. Now the country has GAINED over 2 Million Full Time jobs in the past 12 months, and 5 Million in the past two years. The American dollar is reigning supreme as the world's currency. That's not sad shape, no matter how much the Republicans try to paint it that way.
