@snood,
Protects on public properties is fine protects on private properties without the owners permissions is a crime of trespass just to begin with.

There is a right to removed them and or press charges against them.

@BillRM,
The rallys are not held on private property, The Donald thinks anywhere he stands is home.

@glitterbag,
A hall/meeting room that Trump is paying to use is private property that he have the same right to used without interfere as his home.

Somehow I do not think he is holding those meetings on open public properties.

@glitterbag,
Oh so you are of the opinion that if you are paying for a hotel meeting hall or some such anyone can then walk into you meetings and interfere with them against your wishes?

That you do not in fact have similar rights to someone holding a meeting in a private home?

@BillRM,
They're not on private property, they're on the streets. Don't make stuff up.

@BillRM,
You can smoke in your own home, you can't smoke in the town hall regardless of how much you've paid to book a room.

Protest is PART of the American political process....

It's a human right. It's not American per se.

The US is an oligarchy. Has been for ages.

Australia is heading down the same dead-end track.

@Builder,
America began with a protest that grew into revolt. Every major social shift, be it slave emancipation, women's suffrage, gay marriage etc. Began with murmurs, then torrents of protest for legislative action. Maybe Americans didn't invent protest, but I'd argue that protest is part of American DNA.

@snood,
You mean like dumping tea off ships into the Boston Harbor.

That was a criminal act as well as a protect and done in fact to protest the local merchants from cheaper tea coming into the market while they had warehouses full of more expense tea not in fact a protect against taxes.

What is sold to the people and the real reasons then as now are not one and the same thing.

@BillRM,
Have you looked at Brandon's post? It's not about "private property," it's about street protests. If you want to start talking about something else all well and good, but don't expect the rest of us to be able to read your mind.

@izzythepush,
Perhaps in countries with gun-ownership laws the right to demonstrate is more and better established. And people and police know better how to handle demonstrations.

Good point. I expect it will be debated in a sober and responsible manner.

@Walter Hinteler,
I've just had a pm about this. I'm really pissed off. Liverpool and Spurs are the two teams I most want to beat, they took a lot of our best players and manager between them. And they look like being the sides we can't beat. We can beat Arsenal, Chelsea and Man U but not those two.

@BillRM,
I agree with snood on this one. Criminal act or not that is the entire purpose America was born. WE THE PEOPLE. Government was put in place to protect our freedoms and rights, not take them away. When you deposit your money in the bank, you expect that when you go to withdraw it, it will be there correct?

So what if when you returned to the ATM to get some it wasn't there? You'd be pissed right? You worked for that money. Earned every penny of it through your blood, sweat, and tears. But it's gone... The banker laughing all the way to another country with your money, and thousands of dollars of other people's money in hand. Now you can't touch him. There is no possibility of recompense.

You trusted the institution to protect what was rightfully yours... And the institution failed. Our government is the institution "we the people" have put our trust in. Too much trust, as now it would appear they are going rogue with it. All of them. And we the people are hanging in the balance... Too busy whining about the things we don't like to stand up and DO SOMETHING.

Think of all the "greats" in history. All those people who over the centuries have stood alone to defend their cause, whatever it many be. They changed our direction as a nation. They challenged what we believed and caused us to stop and think about it, and perhaps even adjust our thinking. Thank God they had the freedom to do that! If they hadn't, we certainly wouldn't have progressed to where we are today.

@onevoice,
The supporters of Trump have a right to hear him speak and without such rights we would be under the control of whoever have the most hoodlums as in Germany in the 1920s.

@BillRM,
I agree completely. and those who don't agree with him have a right to demonstrate that as well. Socialism will never work, and if you think Trump is the only one who has that in his secret agenda you are a fool. America is on a path somewhere, no doubt. No matter which candidate wins the course has been set and will not change until America (as a whole) remembers who we are.
