I have been saying over and over again that these Tea Totalitarians, aka TeaJihadists, are misguided and/or are the tools of the real enemy: the captains of industry who would destroy the common man as easy as look at him.

@eurocelticyankee,
I've never been able to see him. Back when I was still married, he came to Boston on my birthday. I told my ex about the concert three months in advance; gave him a flyer for it and reminded him about it two weeks later.

My ex's college generally has its reunion on a weekend near my birthday and my ex went annually. When he told me that he was going that year, I asked whether he bought the Christie tickets. He had no idea what I was talking about.

I don't think Christie has been here since.

Blow a kiss at Christie for me.

Question, should Alaska count write-in votes that do not meet the criteria set forth by the voting laws up there?

Is that why he's the ex. Wink
Sorry, only joking.

I haven't heard of Christy going to the US , not in the near future anyway.
I'll be going to see him in Dublin in Dec & Jan.
As for blowing him a kiss, hmm, I don't think Christy would appreciate a baldy forty odd year old blowing a kiss at him.
Maybe I'll throw an under garment at him, might as well go the whole way. Laughing

@eurocelticyankee,
I don't think he's been here since then and that had to have been in 80s. I would have heard of it either on the radio or from friends who book folk acts.

@okie,
Meaningless okie since the number of ballots with the oval filled in for write in candidate far exceeded the votes Miller got. We knew that on election night. Then it was only a question of the number that were for Murkowski. She needed about 90% of them to beat Miller. She was getting about 98% of them even with challenges from Miller for every one that had the name spelled incorrectly.

@parados,
Quote:
In last week's election, Miller received 34 percent of the vote, Democrat Scott McAdams, who conceded, collected 24 percent and 41 percent of ballots were for write-in candidates.

I guess I was wrong. Murkowski only needs about 83% of the ballots with an oval filled in to beat Miller.

When they started hand counting the ballots, they included ballots that didn't have the oval filled in. It's meaningless since Murkowski still has more than enough votes without including them.
