@edgarblythe,
New Orleans down by 17 at the half. We all have the Saints. Arrgh.

@realjohnboy,
Then it's a bye match J. The result is of no consequence to the business in hand.

The Buccs look pretty stumped so far. The studio commentators (3) were at a loss what to do about the concussions. Wouldn't playing without helmets do the job or are helmet sales too big a deal for that?

What a quandry!

@spendius,
The suggestion has been made, Spendi, that the NFL should go back to a single tier face mask rather than the 3 or so one now in use. This, it is argued, would prevent defensive players from driving their heads into an opponent when tackling.
And, yes, going helmetless has also been mentioned.

@Ragman,
This is the worst played NFL game I've ever seen. Neither team wants to win!

@JPB,
which one ..the Aints game? Or Bears-Skinnies?

I'm watching Steelers-Fins. What a GAME! Big Ben fumbles at 1 yrd line but...but no recovery for Miami after review by offishuls. So Pitt gets the ball at their 1 yd lin. FG attempt is good. Pitt 23-22 with 2 min to go at Miami 30 yd line.

@Ragman,
Set and I just got back from taking the dogs for a walk down at the beach.

We ran into one of our neighbours down there. He was stomping along in a fury - half-time in the worst NFL game he's ever watched. He's probably back at the pub watching the balance of the game now.

Steelers with the ball and a minute + to kill.

@realjohnboy,
It's a done deal now - Pitt wins 23-22. Watch out for Miami next week. They played Steelers tough though they couldn't convert in Red Zone.

OTOH, Ravens lead Bills 34-31 . Ravens roared back to take their bacon out of the fire with Bills with 2 min to go..it's close. Bills got 30 sec TO GO to tie it by getting in FG RANGE. Uh oh! a 50 yrd attempt is good! with seconds to go.

Aints down by 20 at 30-10. I think that Aints lost their identity.

Of course Bears lost in the end. Thus demonstrating to all -- NEVER change a from your first choice..EVER!

Sweet. The early games are over and we all got burnt by the Saint's loss.

Congrats to Mysteryman and CoastalRat who are 8-1 so far. Region and Cowdoc are 7-2.

By heck--there's some expert talk after the event going on here. And incisive reportage of what's been on the idiot box.

Do people listen to stuff like that without pissing their pants?

You're trolling Cyclo. You're out of the game once the white flag was thrown.
