Ragman--fm's use of the word "batch" betrays his settled attitude to other people. And, once again, he waited for the result before committing himself to having predicted the Vikings/Eagles game.

Motivation is surely playing before friends, relations, cheer leaders, groupies and potential employers. Maybe a win bonus. Looking good. And bad blood between these two teams. Plus home advantage.

I'm still thinking about Buffalo and Tampa Bay - but hey, it's only Friday.

Better get my picks in before I head for the radio station this afternoon. For more than twenty years, I've been taking my collection of '50's, '60's, and early '70's music to the local station on New Year's Eve. After the 6:00 news, we declare KSRA off the air for the duration of the year, and replace it with "Radio Free Salmon". Local merchants donate prizes for trivia questions, and we play commercial-free rock 'n' roll for seven hours. It's actually more fun than it sounds, and we've pretty much become a central Idaho tradition. Can't guarantee how early I'll be up tomorrow, so here's wishing you all a great holiday! Eight below here this morning, but a beautiful, sunny day nonetheless!
