Week #16. We had a 56.4% success rate as a group. When we were good, we were very good but when we were bad, we were dreadful. All in all, a mediocre week.
Congratulations to Miz Cowdoc who ran away with the title for the week, finishing at 12-4. Her picks of Washington, Denver and Detroit were a trifecta.
JPB came in at 11-5 while Tico, Region, Jespah, Mysteryman, Cowdoc and Alex were 10-6.
A bunch of folks went 9-7: Osso, Ragman, George, Spendius, Lmur, Rhys, CoastalRat, Panzade, Fbaezer and BillW.
AndyClubber, LiontamerX and Edgar broke even at 8-8 while Johnboy, EhBeth and McGentrix were underwater at 7-9.
CoinToss was 7-9. The best ESPN guy finished 10-6 while the worst may want to consider a career change: "Would you like fries with that?" He was 6-10.

It was a good week for me I think. My lead was extended to 4. Which is like being the highest scorer on a sticky wicket at cricket.
It looks like my back to back titles are in the bag. I don't consider that "dreadful" Johnny.

The Vikings hasd much more to play for in the meetup. They are playing for their JOBS(including gen manager), whereas Philly was just playing for a bye week.
Philly can be tough only with a reason to play. Also, the defense needs to get yelled at badly.

As a group, Spendius, we were dreadful in some games. You are doing well and seem to have a lock on a repeat of the title for the season.
Coaches and players will claim that they play every game to win. That is a sham, of course. It certainly looks like, for example, that Michael Vick of the Philadelphia Eagles will sit out Sunday's game. He got hurt on the 1st play but stayed in until the end. It is reported that he was seen limping after it was over. There is nothing to be gained by playing him this coming weekend.

Yes, but the team playing for a bye week is a hugely motivated, as well. However, they didn't protect Vick at times quite so well. Those Iggles guys looked to me like they were trying pretty damned hard. Vick had a deep thigh bruise - not too deadly. His performance fell back down to earth a bit (due to injury?) so let's see how he finishes out the season.

Lets say that the Vikings were a little bit more motivated. I picked Minn on my card and it was Philly + 6 , so I squeaked by.
ANYBODY picking the EAgkles this coming weekend against Dallas, should reconsider. ANdy Reid is gonna rest Vick(anyway Vick is hurt) . Hes also gonna rest De Sean and Le Sean, Jeremy, Justice and Herreman. Reids done it years before and its helped to rest his primo teamers. I think when K Kolb shows up as Qback, you will see an entire new line on the field and Dallas in control. Thats as close to a prediction as I will make.
I dont think home field will mean **** in this one. Kolb is already doing plays with a second batch of O liners

Of course, I hear you and those are some well made points.
Then there's Dallas....they lost to AZ on the road even though they outplayed them. Well they farked it up through their turnovers, INT, and fumbles etc. and then gave it away at the end.
Every time I pick them, they lose - w/o fail.
