"The second coming"????
My, such a short attention span. If one could follow the thread, my response of "Wait", was in response to your posting of " Irrefutable truth is always well received." Wait, and you shall see that it is not "well received", as was demonstrated in the posts that followed....for some people you have spell out everything. ( Sigh.)

I had barely 10 minutes, which made me skip out on the most direct competitor, which is Iran, and others like North Korea.

There are 2 things that make America great: (1) Dollar hegemony, and (2) Pentagon; with each supporting the other, that is, without Pentagon, you can't have dollar hegemony, and without dollar hegemony, you can't have Pentagon. It took dollar 62 years to account for 67% of the world's currency reserves at it's height; it took euro 8.5 years to account for 25% of the world's currency reserves. What's scary is that the real threat to dollar hegemony hasn't even begun yet since dollar reserves have declined so far to only 65%. What is increasingly obvious from a crashing dollar is that even the dollar hegemony is no longer able to support the dollar. It's the ultimate catch 22 - with euro as it's competitor, wars are needed to maintain the dollar hegemony, but dollar hegemony can't support the wars.

I write this because I have all this knowledge that I find so exciting. I don't write it with any bad intent towards anyone. My great grandfather came from one country, my grandfather lived in another, my father lived in another, and I live in another; so the word "patriotism" doesn't amount much to me.

RedOct,
Since I don't know a thing about dollar hegemony, and/or the Pentagon, I yield to your knowledge and insight.
However, in regard to patriotism, patriotism is derived from pride...pride in your country because of the opportunities and freedom that it provides, and a sense of belonging to a collective, that shares the same values of equality for all, human rights, and the inherent value of its' citizens as human beings, striving for the common good. When rights are denied (such as the right to vote)...when one can be arrested for a crime that he or she didn't commit, without due process....when you are refused employment because you are deemed "over-qualified", or because of racism....when you cannot exercise your right to say, do or be whatever it is that speaks to the truth...then there is nothing to be patriotic about...in fact, one is justified in feeling ashamed.
For some reason, the Declaration of Independence comes to mind...patriotism is when those words, contained therein, ring true.....if and when they are diminished or disregarded, patriotism cannot exist.

So you are of the opinion that third world countries cannot have patriotism because they have less freedom and opportunity? Or do you deem them less patriots because of such deficiencies? They cannot be of suficient patriotism because of our standards? I say again, speculative at best!

Where the hell do you get that logic? Patriotism isn't defined or confined to 1st world, 2nd world, or 3rd world countries. Whoever said it was? What the hell are you talking about? You cannot carry on an intelligent conversation...so, let me move on. Don't respond to my posts, and I won't respond to yours...Jesus, Joseph, & Mary!

Your statement indicates if a person has no opportunity or freedom he cannot be patriotic. I think your wrong.

I am praying and have prayed for you.

Ephesians 1:2-23, “Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavens, in Christ; for He chose us in Him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us to be adopted through Jesus Christ for Himself, according to His favor and will, to the praise of His glorious grace that He favored us with in the Beloved.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure that He planned in Him for the administration of the days of fulfillment—to bring everything together in the Messiah, both things in heaven and things on earth in Him.

In Him we were also made His inheritance, predestined according to the purpose of the One who works out everything in agreement with the decision of His will, so that we who had already put our hope in the Messiah might bring praise to His glory.

In Him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation—in Him when you believed—were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. He is the down payment of our inheritance, for the redemption of the possession, to the praise of His glory.

This is why, since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I never stop giving thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers. [I pray] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. [I pray] that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so you may know what is the hope of His calling,) what are the glorious riches of His inheritance among the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power to us who believe, according to the working of His vast strength.

He demonstrated [this power] in the Messiah by raising Him from the dead and seating Him at His right hand in the heavens—far above every ruler and authority, power and dominion, and every title given, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put everything under His feet and appointed Him as head over everything for the church, which is His body, the fullness of the One who fills all things in every way.”

@politically-wrong,
I just noticed the original OP stated Americans only respond, I guess I'll just shut me Canadian lips. There they are zippeddddddddddddddddddddd.

I wish Canadians had the same freedoms that the Americans have, we aren't even free to speak lest we offend a group of minorities.

Red,

If the person who started the thread is from Sudan, someone on the North American continent should be able to respond. You are an American.

Maybe the guy meant US Citizens only. If he meant that, he should have said so. Although we're all infidels in their eyes. Maybe he should have said infidels only.

Where is the logic in that? If the person who started the thread were someone from Iraq or Iran, is that any reason to "pile on"? You are unwilling to give others what you expect from them....respect, tolerance, and clean hands. You are the most anti-Americans I have ever seen. You should all be deported back to the countries of your origins, because nothing you espouse is "American". I spit on you.

First of all Red i would appreciate it if u continue to participate in the topic, secondly i too dont understand ur logic Volunteer but it does not matter, thirdly the next time please ask me when u want to state an opinion of mine ( Although we're all infidels in their eyes) for if i looked upon u as an infidel i wouldnot have any discussion with u , it might surprise u to know that the majority of muslims do not infact look upon others as either muslims or infidels, i know i dont.

@politically-wrong,
It's nice to see someone stand up for something other then what you see in the media. You by far are the most talkative Muslim we have had on here to date, your thought although hard to read sometimes are well thought out. I appreciate your input.
