Actually, I like people like Slappy and Gus's jokes to distract me, but that's just me. If you want to hang Slappy up by his whatever you like, then I certainly won't stand in your way ;-)

I think I can help all involved parties on this particular thread. On certain days, Montana wants to play and have fun -- other days, it's best to stay away from her. How do you determine which days are which, you ask? Simple. Study her face carefully. There are little telltale signs etched into her countenance.

Montana, if it makes you feel better to know that your misery has company, five days out of the month I suffer with the male equivalent of PMS....SGS. Scapegoat Syndrome. It's a real bitch, but it has given me empathy for your plight.

Thank you for your caring thoughts Bear. I feel your pain and hope that we can recover from this evil illness that we endure every single month. If it's not too personal, would you mind sharing with us what time of the month your PMS runs?

When squinney and I first met my cycle was adjusted to the same time as the previous Mrs. Quinney, but with time I adjusted, as people in the same household do, and now I am on an identical cycle with squinney strangely enough.

At my age I had hoped that I might have undergone some sort of SGS menopausal change, but unfortunately with the onset of my female cub's puberty my suffering has now doubled as I perform the scapegoat function to both wife and daughter.

My two male cubs suffer with this to a lesser degree as well.

I once wrote a whole story about some poor damned frog who got turned into a goddamn Prince. Like, who ASKS the frogs?

I've got to go out in a few hours and shovel a foot of snow out of my driveway, so maybe that'll help me vent a bit, or maybe it'll just make me mad.

I've read that chaste berry can be helpful with the results of hormonal swings. I bought some myself (for a different purpose) but haven't used it yet.

I would definitely check with your physician first. I know one of the drawbacks is that doctors aren't always open to the idea of using herbals.

Another avenue I've read about regarding PMS is diet. See if your doc will send you to a dietician to help with creating a list of foods to avoid, to include, etc.
