while i support the right to bear arms... i really don't see it necessary for any non-military citizen to own an assault riffle.

i mean, you can't hunt with it (well, you can, if you like swiss cheese style deer), its impractical for home protection... its only real use is killing the taliban IMO

Christianity was brought over by the romans and whatnot. Actually, the
native people of the British isles are actually the same ethnic group as the
Basque in Spain (a lot of the "royal" British are descendants of the vikings
mixed in a little with the french), who migrated up the coast quite a long time
ago. Since the Basque have some historical mix with the Moors it could be
argued that people in the British Isles have a muslim heritage, actually.

Assault rifles are close-quarter, 'fire-hose'-type weapons. They're excellent for home defense. The only thing better is the shotgun. If an intruder crashes your pad at night, in pitch darkness, you won't have time or visual acuity to aim. The spray-gun option is most appropriate.:headbang:
