FOXNews.com - Bush Commutes 'Scooter' Libby's Prison Sentence - Politics | Republican Party | Democratic Party | Political Spectrum

I guess Bush is ready to accept his lame duck status, I'd look for an increase in Presidential powers activity (veto's, etc)

Obstructed justice. It doesn't matter anyone here's "opinion" of what happened, he was convicted of a felony, everyone acknowledges he commited a felony, and it's complete bullshit that Georgie boy sprung cheneys littel bitch.

@Silverchild79,
But wasn't it shown that he didn't do what they said he did? They just continued on the witch hunt.

@Silverchild79,
12 jurors didn't think so.

Bush had this to say, well, only a little part of what he said...

Elitist scum, er I mean Bushie poo wrote:

Others point out that a jury of citizens weighed all the evidence and listened to all the testimony and found Mr. Libby guilty of perjury and obstructing justice. They argue, correctly, that our entire system of justice relies on people telling the truth. And if a person does not tell the truth, particularly if he serves in government and holds the public trust, he must be held accountable. They say that had Mr. Libby only told the truth, he would have never been indicted in the first place.

@Silverchild79,

Only 2 examples of Clinton's pardons, Cronyism?

From- US Dept. of Justice Clinton's pardons

And for comparison, here is their list of G H. Bush pardons.
U. S. Dept of Justice

And G. W. Bush-
U. S. Dept of Justice

Pelosi and H. Clinton say cronyism is rampant in the Bush administration.

@Silverchild79,
I don't really care who Clinton pardoned, he was a scumbag too. Him and his socialist whore wife need to be in jail too for all their insider trading bullshit. I'm sick of good ol' boy globalist, and sleazeball socialist running this country.

@Silverchild79,
Wow, I just saw the Press Conference with Tony Snow, the media is pissed!

here's the irony

A former Clinton staff member was on the news this morning, he said something to the effect of "when somebody that high up commits purgery and interferes with an investigation they belong in prison"

Isn't that exactly what Clinton did during monicagate? Oh wait that doesn't count because Clinton was "cool"

liberals fail at living in a glass house

It's true though, repubs, say Scooter should be pardoned because Clinton did worse? Screw that, jail em all. Everyone is so willing to forgive their parties tresspass against it's people, so long as they can blame something else on the other side of the fence (applies to dems too). That fence needs to be broken down and rebuilt.

There is no doubt that you are one of the most vociferous posters on this site. Your opinions are very clear - in black and white. If you like someone, the can do no wrong. If you dislike someone, they can do no right.

I share that trait, also.

Still trying to find an answer.....

Nah.....just Democrat nonsense. Any Foreign Service Officer who marries a covert CIA agent is an idiot begging for problems like this. I worked in US Embassy, Ascuncion, Paraguay, for DEA and the Ambassador for a short time, back in the day. I know the deal. The second any US Embassy employee steps foot in a foreign country, he/she is scrutinized from A-Z, so to speak, along with family. Wilson and Plame are fools who tried to use their goofy existence to hurt the Bush Administration. Screw'm. :thumbdown:

I, too, Socal, am a true-believer. I loathe the Democrats so badly, I wouldn't back them if they resurrected George Washington or Abe Lincoln.:headbang:
