Yes, Alien life exists

The UFO phenomena itself is something that should make people question several things, whether they believe in Alien's or not.
...
The bigger question may be:
What is it they are keeping from us?

Setanta - I'm glad I wasn't correct about 'all' skeptics.
(I'm never wrong - I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken Laughing )
(kidding)

I might have bitten off more than I can chew by trying to convince skeptics of the possibility of alien life aswell as convince them of the errors of skepticism itself, (thanks for correcting me) but I at least tried to do it without relying on dodgy testimonials, etc.

- But maybe you can still see my point about why does the UFO phenomenon exist in the first place?

With it's most 'convincing' evidence coming from government sources (even it's very origin's) doesn't this show some kind of gov't involvement?

If so, What is it they are really hiding from US the ones who supposedly gave them their power and position? (I mean as an alternative to Aliens/UFO's).
I don't have an answer but I feel I deserve one (from them).

Perhaps my song threw you off? Well now, human "singing" possesses neither the raw power nor grace of our indigenous nose-gargling ways, but it is just as dancable. We quite enjoy it, really.

Well, whoever's had the least to drink, as performing it requires an intense amount of concentration. We wouldn't want a repeat of last year's booger boogie down, no thank you!

Chaiyah is our resident believer. She posted several links here to message boards full of like-minded people who watch webcam broadcasts from around the world, looking for overexposed photos of the sun & moon to support their belief.

And yes, the boogers were gruesome. I'm still emotionally scarred.

I don't know that there are many here who believe such things--Chaiyah has been noticeable by her absence. The crew here does not exactly make such believers feel welcome.

Yes - but where are the many who DO?

Do they have, like, clubs and churches? Special restaurants? Malls? Are they mainly Mericans and such?

I don't think they're mainly 'Mericans, but 'Mericans are well wired, so they find each other quickly. There is a plethora of conspiracy and You-foe web sites, and i would suspect there are discussion boards for the credulous, although i don't actually know of any.

What did the human race do for this kind of entertainment when they were still "old stone age?" What kind of conspiracy theories abounded then?

"We recall a remark made by Giorgio de Santillana and Hertha von Dechend in Hamlet's Mill to the effect that the great strength of myths as vehicles for specific technical information is that they are capable of transmitting that information independently of the knowledge of individual story-tellers. In other words as long as a myth continues to be told true, it will also continue to transmit any higher message that may be concealed within its structure - even if neither the teller nor the hearer understands that message."
- Robert Bauval and Graham Hancock, from "Keeper of Genesis".

They didn't have conspiracies so much as secrets.
Secrets which were encoded by the original secret societies, and handed down through us ignorant mortals as religions and mythology, that only the 'Keepers of the Mysteries' could decode. Neutral

For example the flood: How many countries, tribes, cultures have a legend of a great flood, and how similar are their different legends?
Check this out to see (needn't read all the stories just see how many there are):
http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/flood-myths.html

Also check this out (enter at bottom of page):
http://gpblueprint.users.btopenworld.com/

This shows through mathematics alone, eventually, that the Ancients knew the distances needed for a satellite to achieve geostationary orbit around not only Earth, but also the Moon, and encoded it into the design of the Pyramids! (oh no! not another pyramidiot Rolling Eyes )
How the hell did they, or why the hell would they need to, know these things?
Or maybe it's just a fluke of coincidence? Cool

For one theory on why these myths exist and the ancient roots of conspiracies check this out:
http://ascension2000.com/Shift%2Dof%2Dthe%2DAges/

Even if you don't agree with everything they present (personally I prefer the scientific discoveries they present, since I dont' trust the channelled crap) you will at least know what the woohoo's are on about.

Basically it all comes down to a knowledge of the 'Ether' and it's ramifications for modern science, ancient history and the basis of Religion (as explanation for the 'spirit'-world).
It is the Main thing that has been deliberately hidden from general knowledge since ancient times - but with the advent of Internet can no longer be held back (which is why there are more and more wacky conspiracies coming out to make All conspiracies seem not worth bothering with):

-If you are interested to know the missing link between Spirituality and Science, and how Alien life or long distance space travel is possible do a few searches on the 'Ether' or 'Hyperdimensional physics' or Nikola Tesla or Thomas Bearden.

Most skeptics would probably have comfortably debunked these for themselves, but there is alot of science involved with these topics. It's not all just wacky UFO stories (even though alot of whacky's have latched onto it).

"Words should not be withheld from the worthy, but the unworthy will be annoyed by the words of real men. The hearts of the unworthy and those who are alienated from reality are like wicks that have been drenched in water instead of oil. No matter how much fire you put to such a wick it will not burn."
- Shihab al-Din al-Suhrawardi,The Mystical and Visionary Treatises, 12th century C.E.

"Without seeking, truth cannot be known at all. It can neither be declared from pulpits, nor set down in articles, nor in any wise prepared and sold in packages ready for use. Truth must be ground for every man by itself ... with such help as he can get, indeed, but not without stern labor of his own."
- John Ruskin

Well, so something is for sale here. I think I'll just take my chances and expect all that wisdom will arrrive right on time via the ether.

Your last paragraph was good enough.

Sorry if I seemed to be hiding / pushing something. Embarrassed
It didn't feel like the 'Ether' would get a warm reception at this site so I didn't mention it at first, but personally I think it is the answer to skeptics and religious believers all in one so I couldn't hold my tongue any longer, and this thread seems the best place to bring it up.

The question about ancient conspiracies was too tempting for me to resist giving my 2 Cents, but to show that it was still 'on topic' I just had to go and mention the 'Ether'. None of the links were to pay sites (or mine in any way), in fact one of them is an entire free book on the subject.

Now I'm going to go back under my rock...

Thanks, mate.

Able2know is a good place and has been a wakeup call for my brain.
I've never really come face-to- face with true skeptics and it has certainly made me demand more from what I consider 'evidence' on topics such as this one.
- but I feel I shall retire from this thread since my 'take on the subject' is now well and truly out there (so to speak), and hanging around is only going to get me caught in a fight with the tar-baby. Laughing

I think that alien life out there is likely. What i dont think is likely is the odds that an alien race has developed enough intellegence to develop spacecraft and managed a way to our planet. Even if their exists an intellegent race out there, what are the odds of them traveling to this planet? Not to mention they would have to manage the incredible distance.
