Apparently, when Elian's father realized Elian was missing, he called Elian's great uncle in Miami.

We have no idea why Elian's parents split. We know nothing about the interpersonal dynamics in Miami with the exception that NYTimes said that an uncle felt Elian belonged with his father.

I hate to think of what that young man fate would have been if he had been allowed to be raised by the circus freak show in Miami.

As I said before I would not had given my pets to be taken care of by those strange people let alone a child.

I am thinking of blocking David postings as he seem to be completely a one-dimensional cartoon character at least when it come to the evil commies.

i agree with everything you wrote. To suggest that Elian would have better off shot to death than to have been returned to his father was distasteful beyond measure. I did lash out at him because I was so disgusted with his postings.

For all his talk of freedom, he is quick to deny it to others.

No one but you would interpret that Bill believes the child is property of the parent in general or that Elian in particular is property of Juan Miguel. A living, sane and healthy father is the best choice to raise a child.
