@hawkeye10,
I probably can, having spent years in the landscape design and construction world. It's actually fairly complicated, but you wouldn't get that.

On construction projects, there are people called contractors. Those I dealt with followed rules. But, some of those people in their employ who were now amnestied, had just the slipped up here, years ago. Some made it to be foremen. They are not different from us, but by this immigration hazzerai.

I know that sounds absurdly pontifical. I know there is resentment. But brains win out if they have a chance.

My boss was the son of quite disturbed immigrants, they having spent time in the japanese camps. He was born in one. I have no idea if his parents were allowed here at first. Maybe in some wave of japanese.

The japanese, fully american or not, were repulsed early in my life. I was busy being three, but recognized it from my aunt's hate.

Sorry, I don't give a **** about pay scale. Pay scale will rise on value.

So, you are inflamed at Mexico because of the cartels,

What bothers me most is infiltration of the American electorate so that in years to come
when either the alien intruders or their progeny vote in our elections,
thay will drag the nation toward the left, away from personal freedom,
away from what remains of the free market in laissez faire capitalism,
and toward the welfare state, so that thay can and will use democracy to parasitically rip off
financially successful Americans, by application of collectivist principles.
This woud cause an end of the free America that began with the American Revolution.

To a lesser extent, I am concerned with the infiltration of Moslems,
thru an insecure border, for more sabotage similar to 9/11.

My father's family, per the story, came over on a raft. That is what my father described for my fifth grade essay.
I doubted that when I grew up, but it seems some did come over on rafts. (Set will tell me if I'm right or wrong,
but I was jolted when I saw that, that they were just telling.) As it happened in later years,
my father and my uncle were good at sea.
I 'm not a nautical person. I 'm not going to go as far as to say that coming on a raft from Ireland is absolutely impossible,
but it strains credulity. I don 't believe that rafts have much aquatic stability; no rudder, either.

Osso, I know next to nothing about New Mexico
and therefore woud never presume to "lecture" anyone -- no one -- about New Mexico.

I CAN, however, point out that Dys' choice of words was ambiguous.
It coud mean either: citizens of New Mexico,
or
It coud mean non-citizen residents thereof.

That is not a lecture about New Mexico; it is about English syntax.
If that makes me nicely "stupido" then I 'll have to live with it.

@OmSigDAVID,
It's clear, David, you are afraid of me - or the welfare state.

Suppose we stopped war and fed people? Zillions go to war as people drop off.

(I know I'm sounding fanatic, am riffing.)

@OmSigDAVID,
Your obvious lack of geographic knowledge made the term ambiguous, not the syntax used.

Just saying..

It may well be a story.

@OmSigDAVID,
Alien intruders? Do you have any idea of the scope of this nation pulled together from parts? Not all centered in New York.

What is it clear that I fear that u will DO? (worst case scenario?)

Yes; I fear that.

I have withdrawn my support for the war,
unless it is necessary to defend American access to oil.
I don 't know if it is, or not.

Notice that your friend Obama supports it, Osso,
and continues it and that your Party
is in control of BOTH houses of Congress + the presidency
and the Demos keep funding the war; bipartisan.

@OmSigDAVID,
That "New Mexicans" are citizens of the American state of New Mexico.

Otherwise you'd need to revise your approach of English language and not only in its phonetic aspect.

I believe that u r mistaken, Francis. U appear to assert that any resident of New Mexico is a citizen.
If that is your position, then please present evidence of it.

@OmSigDAVID,
I don't know new mexico history very well. The spanish came here in the seventeen hundreds and beat out the native indios and started a capital. It's still the capital. Some of those native indios are still here.

People from arizona might arrest them (well, what do I know, there are probably some sane people in arizona - I know at least one or two or three.)

I think the rest of the US is confused about arizona as arizona is confused on itself.

@OmSigDAVID,
You simply don't get it, David.

Residents and citizens are different concepts.

Resident of New Mexico doesn't mean that you are New Mexican.

But if you are New Mexican, you are a citizen of New Mexico and (to Dys eternal dysmay) an American citizen.

Mind that are resident citizens there.

Do I have to explain the concept of non-citizen resident?

Apparently some of them made it. I have no idea of the truth of that, even if I read a link to attest to it.
