@Ticomaya,
There is a rookie on my team. Brennan Boesch. He is a 25 year old from CA playing OF for Detroit. Yahoo doesn't even have a picture of him next to his name.
So far this season, he leads rookies in HR's with 12, RBI's: 43 and batting avg: .338.
But he is getting no recognition in the voting for the 15 OF's being selected for the All Star Team. Brennan: "That's okay. I'll hang out in Michigan for the 3 day break."

@realjohnboy,
“Brennan has taken full advantage of the opportunity he was given this year,” said Damon, a two-time All-Star. “He could be a force to be reckoned with and make the All-Star team. He should be on the All-Star team.

“With one swing of the bat, he can mean home-field advantage for the American League champions. He deserves to go. And not just because he hits home runs, but because he has been a great clutch hitter for us.”

Boesch, 25, would be the first Tigers rookie to make the All-Star team since catcher Matt Nokes in 1987. Mark Fidrych was the Rookie of the Year in 1976 and also made the All-Star team

@alex240101,
If he's anything like catcher Matt Nokes, whoever he was, we're going to remember this kid for a long, long time.

ok, now it's getting ridiculous... both starting catchers are on the DL -- joining the starting 2B, CF, and SP ace.
would be nice to see what they could do with a full rostah...

Tico takes a drubbing this week from Gargamel but retains 1st place by a slimmer margin. Rockhead holds onto 2nd and Osso stays in 3rd. Johnboy has a lackluster week against Pantalones (who seems to be absent this week) but it is good enough to take 4th place away from Fbaezer.

Jake Peavy left after 28 pitches, leading 1 to zip in the middle of the second inning.

this will likely be unsettling to diarrhea...

Yeah, his meager replacement is 3rd in Atlanta's rotation.

There was fine pitching game today, with each SP getting a CG. John Danks (CWS) (owned by Seed's Evil Men of Evil) went 9 innings with 2 hits, 7 K's and the shutout, winning 1-0.
Ervin Santanta (LAA) (owned by Johnboy's Rappin' Rednecks) went 8 innings, giving up just 3 hits and getting 4 K's. He took the loss, but gets credit for a CG because the Sox didn't have to bat in the bottom of the 9th.

@alex240101,
One Down. Six To Go.
Alex is tossing 7 SP's total at me today and tomorrow. His pitching staff has not one RP. Lackey (Boston) was the 1st up. He lasted into the 5th inning, giving up 8 Hits, 7 Runs and 6 Walks. He struck out 2. ERA: 13.50 and WHIP: 3.00.

@realjohnboy,
Two Down. Five To Go.
Alex's Blackburn (MN) goes 4 IP and gave up 7 Hits and 7 Runs (including 4 Home Runs). 1 Walk, 1 K. A 15.75 ERA and a respectable 2.00 WHIP.

@Rockhead,
Alex gets a pretty decent performance from his SP Sheets (Oakland). 2 hits allowed in 6 innings. No runs. But he labored a bit, tossing 104 pitches. Oakland led at last check 13-0.

@Rockhead,
The opposing pitcher was Kazmir, who is not on any of our rosters here, thankfully. He gave up 11 hits and 13 runs in just 5 innings!
